I normally don't do this, but after reading some of these reviews felt everyone should know. This is one of the worst experiences I've had from start to finish. I'm not going to add any names as some of this I'm sure not their fault for being unable to help or lack of training. Our sales person must have been very inexperienced as questions like real wood vs compressed / particle board confused him. After shopping around we had decided this was going to be our last store and found something we liked. When asked if they offer 12 mo same as cash (like their competitors) I was told yes. I filled out their apt.(ding on my credit now) Then went to close the deal. He came back and asked if $X a month would be ok? I said that is not same as cash. He spoke with a manager and came back with another manditory monthly payment. I told him this was not ok, but would just pay in full as this was something my wife really wanted. Also because of Covid this would be serveral months out. The day of pick up I showed a friend what we were getting and found that the same item was over $600 cheaper. When I showed up and asked if there was something they could do they said no that the price was locked at the time of sale and there would be over a $600 restocking fee if we didn't want it. Not wanting to take that kind of loss for my frustrations, I continued to pick up our purchase. I know it was my fault to pick this up on a rainy day (not wanting to pay their daily fee for not picking this up), but thought it would fit in my pickup with a topper. Nope It was 2 inches too long. I asked if they had some plastic or something I could cover this with as I had to drive over 60 miles back home. They responded with we don't store anything like that and you will need to go to the local hardware store and figure it out. Even a sofa or loveseat cover from something they have already put out would have been a nice gesture, but just a sorry we have nothing was the answer. Read moreCheck online prices. I was looking at a couple of pieces and they are charging way more then their site. They charge a couple hundred more in-store at least the rep told me they would price match their online store. Which is nice to recognize the price difference and offer the better price I did appreciate an honest sales person. However a desk was listed for $600 in-store but site showed $460. When talking about shipping they would charge me $250 to deliver I think thats a big shipping fee for a desk. Now that makes the desk $710. Now on the other side of things site shows delivery would be free.
Now I can understand delivery, assembly and putting it in the house would cost but its a desk and they should offer door step delivery at least for like $75.
If it was me I would say hey its $250 for us to deliver to a farther location. So if you find something else to be delivered with the desk like a couch or table it would make it worth the delivery fee. But if not you can order it online and get free delivery. But you will have to assemble it and there is more risk of damage from weather and shipping since its being delivered by a shipping company.
That would be a better thing to say giving your customers options for shipping and even offering more to sell because I wasn’t aware that I could finance for 60 months in store only which I would have...
Read moreI went to Ashley in Missoula to get a couch or couch and loveseat combo. I had seen a set online that I liked and wanted to make sure it was as comfortable as it looked and the size was right. I found it right away and found it was quite nice. I went around looking at other couches just in case. In the mean time it seemed I was missed by the associated there, so when I was ready to purchase no one was around for a bit. I think a couple that an associate was showing around obfuscated my presence as they were also looking at the same set. I started looking at the couches online again and was getting ready to purchase through that when someone came by and asked if I found anything I liked. I told them the couch set I wanted and he realized I'd been missed so ushered me over get things settled. He called over a manager to help get things settled as there was an approval needed since things weren't in stock. Will was very helpful and quite likable. He helped me get things set away and set up for delivery, he was informative without being pushy at all, which I really look for in a sales associate. Fortunately I dislike hovering so the neglect in the beginning of my shopping experience didn't bother me too much. Ultimately they did come over to help me, lol.
