Orange Street Food Farm — Local services in Missoula

I went on this tour for the first time as a suggestion from a friend. I didn't know what to expect but my mind was blown! If you love food, and love to learn about other cultures, you will love these tours! I have been to Vietnam 5 times now and have booked 3 of the tours that they offer. I had the pleasure of meeting Vinnie, the owner of the company during a tour of the city sights. I was overwhelmed to learn about his heart for his business, food, and his country. Once you experience one of his tours, and meet your tour guides, you’ll know what I mean! The company is devoted to charity and community. I was so happy to learn that a portion of what I was paying will eventually go to help the less fortunate! And the amazing thing about it was the excellence of the tours! The amount of food that you get during the street food tours is worth the entire price of the tour. My advice is to go on an empty stomach… you won’t regret it! You will got to some food stalls and restaurants where you are the only tourists in sight! You know the food is good if that’s where the local people eat!

The tour guides will blow your mind as well. They amaze me with the amount of knowledge they had about the food, and the sights you will visit along the way! They are so well trained, well mannered, well spoken, and so enthusiastic about their job it will amaze you!

I normally don't write reviews, but this tour company is so above and beyond my expectations that I could’t resist! I travelled all around Vietnam for 2 months and this is always by far the best experience I have had every time. I will come back and try some of their other tours they offer! Each time I’ve went I thought to myself that there is no way they can top the last tour I went on… but somehow they pull it off!!

Each time I come back I don’t feel like I’m booking a tour, but rather I feel as if I’m getting ready to go out for a night on the town with old friends! So to all of you at Street Food Man, Mot, hai, ba, yoooooooo!!!! I’ve learned that means 1, 2, 3, cheers!! I moved away from Missoula this summer, and when I left I told the employees I was going to miss the store and all of them. I became a regular at Orange Street from 2014 through 2017. Of every town and every store I have ever been a customer, this one takes the top spot.

Friendly atmosphere, a real neighborhood feeling, and excellent prices. Some items may be 10% higher than some other stores, but 3/4 of the store always came out at par or below average for prices with it's Missoula competition.

And the beer! You know your in the right place when a dozen locals spend 15 minuets looking at the fairly priced and massive assortment of local beers. So many stores say "local" but really only mean the fake mircobrews from other states which are actually in the pockets of the big guys. There are dozens on dozens of true 406, local Montana, microbrews! Toss on the normal selections flanking each side. Beer and wine lay on the ends of almost every isle, flooding your vision with dark to light, to red to white selections.

It feels like home, it feels like a place I can do business, it will always be the gold standard for stores for me.

Orange Street Food...

This is a tiny neighborhood grocery, but they do really well with stock selection. They get on sudden long lines really quickly and everyone is pretty friendly. Also they have a lot of good options in the meat department, a pretty good beer selection (which slowly rotates) and odds and ends all over the place.

Also, I've noticed lately a change in the vibe here. Lots of new staff. If you're a new customer or old, don't take any BS (or give it I guess). The tall man with the red hair is the boss, and he wants to hear about it if something objectively naughty or rude occurs.

Lately I've noticed a huge plethora of IPAs on offer in the beer section and barely any other kinds of beer. This is an outage and is also totally amoral and insane, as anyone will attest to. I'm leaving the high five-star review, but two of those stars are now for effort only because of the terrible preference for chemically preserved British apocalypse beer, which is what India Pale Ale is called in the rest...
