I would not recommend this place for appraising/purchasing your old records! I had a box of, 30 or so, old records after my mother passed away that my brothers and I didn’t know if they held any value or not so I took them to Ear Candy to be evaluated. After two weeks he called me and said there was only one he wanted and I could come and pick up the rest. A week went by and I went down on Saturday to pick up the records. John, the owner, was unable to find them and stated that they were “utter garbage” (which I didn’t appreciate) and didn’t have any value but he would locate them and give me a call. Four days went by with no phone call (unprofessional) so I called him. He said the records were thrown away and he would give me $15 for compensation!?!? (Insulting!) How am I supposed to know they were truly thrown away or don’t have any value? He didn’t go through them with me or give them back to me. Just through them out. The whole experience was very unprofessional, poor customer service and zero sensitivity to someone else’s belongings. Even if there was no monitory value in the records, they didn’t have the right to throw them away without my permission! Unorganized, cluttered, insulting, inconsiderate and a complete lack of customer service is no way to run a business! I will never set foot in this...
Read moreMy son was very excited to find a vinyl he had been looking for available on EarCandy's site. After several failed payment attempts we reached out to the store and emailed online support. We verified our payment information, spoke with our bank, as well as using a different credit card and still got the same error, confirming there was an issue with their site. I asked the IT person to please contact us as we wanted to ensure we purchased the album before it sold out. The IT person who I later found out was the owner of the online store, was extremely rude. I can't even wrap my head around what just happened. He was using the "F" word cursing and arguing. From the moment he called he expressed his need to control the call in the worst and most unprofessional manner. He was unwilling to acknowledge there may be an issues with their site. I was very concerned because now that they have 3 separate personal payment information which he acknowledged he could see. While it took everything in me to remain professional while he continued to curse and rant. I don't usually write negative reviews, but this experience was unbelievable. Read moreI ordered the 'Where The Wild Things Are' soundtrack on vinyl (a very rare pressing up until now) for my good friend's birthday. She's always wanted it but would never buy it for herself. The item arrived very quickly and was exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately, when my friend went to play the LP, it was warped slightly and the sound was distorted. I email Chris from Ear Candy Music and he was more than helpful and polite about the matter. With a simple attachment of a short video clip showing the warping, he sent me a replacement LP that arrived a few days later.
