I came in looking for beet root and a couple other items and had to use the restroom as soon as I walked in so I walked to the back of the store to what looked like the customer restroom area and was told it was not a public restroom. At that point I did question him to whether it wasn't open to the public at all or if it was only for the customers (understanding no one wants their place of business used as a public bathroom). He never did clarify but said he did not realize I was pregnant (I am not)and unlocked the door for me. I came out of the restroom and waited for him to get through taking care of another customer so I could ask him some questions about some of the products. I told him I was there for beet root and asked if he had any recommendations to assist with my blood pressure to which he guided me over to the herbs for 'blood sugar' not 'blood pressure' ( no harm no foul, wasn't sure if maybe he misunderstood. After all, it all ties in together. Overall good health is the goal.) As I start to look at some other items he walks over to me with an herb to assist me with again my blood sugar and tells me that will "help with my weight" as well. (Okay, so for those of you keeping up, that makes the second remark about my weight with the first being the assumption I was pregnant) BUT the bottle was only $19.99 and at that point I was becoming offended (which is my problem not his, insecurities about my weight are not vitamin shoppe staffs issue. Just to be clear) However, I was becoming self conscious/offended and I was ready to buy the $20 vitamin he had suggested and just leave. I went to grab my wallet and heard the man behind the counter say ma'am so i turned around and let him know i was purchasing what he suggested i just needed to grab my wallet ( he sounded conflicted when he said ma'am and i thought oh lord are we back to the restrooms are for paying customers and he is worried i tried to get over on him???) So i went outside and let my husband know I needed to stop somewhere else after we left because I wasn't actually sure I was purchasing anything I came for and he was understandably aggravated at that reponse and then I explained to him the situation. He did not care about Jaheems recommendations or my insecurities of my weight, said we would not waste the money there and just go somewhere else and pick up what I actually came for. Here is the kicker: as we are pulling out of the parking lot, this staff member comes barreling outside and takes a picture of our tag!!!!!!!- But why??!?! I had not stolen anything. Left the merchandise right there on the counter.-Because I used the restroom and didn't buy anything??? Seriously. I have NO IDEA what that guys problem is, but dealing with the public IS NOT going to be his strong suit. I am a hard person to make uncomfortable and even I was edging uncomfortability and definitely pissed off when I looked over my shoulder to turn on to the main road and saw him taking pics or video of my vehicle.-Definitely NOT good for my...
Read moreA black employee at the store accused me of bothering customers. But in fact I bothered no one. This was my second time visiting the store and I wanted to check out vitamins for hair. I have a miniature fro. Omega three's is what I believe is the product I was shopping for. The staff was rude and are deciving. I had a great day the store last Wednesday looking at protein powder. In fact I rather work at this store because of sound judgement. And i meditate on Sound Doctorine, which is the full Word of God. The two employees tonight were harmful. A snake couldn't even get me this heated. Plus the employee is a deciver just from her Character. And I hate snakes. Just comparing the way I was treated. Please look into the mission statement for justice. I've been using vitamins and supplements for a long time on and off. Everything from protein powder to green yucky shakes back in 2005. Infact I'm doing my wellness shopping at the GNC store. God...
Read moreLove their charity, helping mothers in Guatemala w prenatal vitamins; clerk mentioned also helps more locally, Monroeville (but no written info given). Buy a handcrafted bracelet to help. I did this as a Mother's Day tribute. First visit, prompted by Google search for a gift, which showed around $7. Once in store, actually $11, but it was bc of different types in same brand. Wide variety of "health food store" supplements and products, w about half for body builder-workout types. Out-of-order men's restroom made me hesitant to use women's (bc it means it is unisex and men's--you know...) but drank big lemonade LOL. Restrm. adequate. Two nice, helpful, young clerks. Gave samples of collagen drink mix, natural sunscreen, +iron multi & goddess...
