If you want to do a print job the place is great, because they actually have an employee there. The rest of the time, good luck. They are under staffed or something, because getting an employee on the floor to help or to check out is a real hassle. A few times we have had to bug the people at the print section to call for assistance. The person at the section to the side of the registers will help after awhile, if you can get their attention, but seem very put upon that you are asking them to step away from where they are and actually help you.
Today was frustrating. My mom and I were shopping for printers. It took my mom getting loud about a lack of help before an employee reluctantly came over. He was very rude in his "attempt to help". She was trying to ask about the various printers and despite indicating wanting to know about the various differences to figure out the best one, he just kept saying, with a tone like he was done with us before he even started, "What her question was?" He didn't listen to anything either of us said and just kept asking what our question was like he wanted one specific thing that he could answer and then go away. Most employees of other stores would try to explain about the various products. He just seemed to want to be done, like we were interfering with his day by asking for help. We left frustrated without buying anything.
We had to drive across town to Best Buy. Best Buy, by contrast to your store, greeted us when we came through the door. The woman at the door then directed us to the printers and called for an employee to help us. He came over right away, began telling my mom about the various ones, what the best value was, he answered any questions she had, and was polite...
Read moreI would like to warn everyone not to purchase any laptop computers from OfficeMax, they cannot be new most likely refurbished. We purchased three computers and all three have had problems in about a years time. And Officemax does not seek to assist you to problem shoot rather they want to charge you high fee's to try to fix. If I were OfficeMax I would not sell these computers which demonstrate themselves to have complaints such as Dell which has battery charging issues. I was not pleased with the lack of goodwill help to customers. I go in there daily and I would think they would think to try to keep a customer rather than bleeding them to penniless state. Next time I buy a computer I will go to Costco because they back up every electronic purchase even past a year!
Also I want to warn everyone about their so called print cartridge recycle program. I came in with a bag full of them and was told by the cashier that I would receive a coupon in the email. I never did. When I was in I asked about this and was told I had to make a purchase within the 30 days after I dropped off the cartridges and ( did make a small purchase) but was not ever told of such a stipulation. This is all a scam. A way for you to try to shop there. SCAM SCAM SCAM.
Went into the Stockton CA location and they told us we would get $2.00 back for each cartridge and so when I collected all of them and brought them in the price dropped to $1.50 and then it was not cash back it was a coupon. Its all a SCAM. Do not waste your time with this so called good will deed. Just toss them in the garbage and save yourself the headache!

Read moreI wish I would be able to give a good review! I love to go to stores and buy and see things. Anyway today I needed 2 copies of my taxes done and the curly hair lady was already in a bad mood when I arrived. Unfortunately, she cannot do 2 sets of 140 pages copy without mixing the order of the pages! Is less than 5 min she was able to mix the original with the copies and put the originals all mixed and then when I asked to fix it, she got all mad because it looks like she doesn’t know how to do her job! Well it looks like she doesn’t! Maybe you should get an easier job for her because photocopy is too complicated. When I said I would fix the order, what took me 1 hour to fix her doing, she said “enjoy” and I said “excuse me, what did you say”, she said “next”. She was rude from beginning to end and was not even capable of saying “I am sorry”! Well I hope she stays in this job forever because she is not capable of doing anything more than that! All the employees here are so mad and upset all the time! It cannot be this horrible to have a job in a nice place! Please train your employees because I cannot trust an employee to do a simple task that they are paid to do! It just made me so mad, I thought would be fast, I had my disabled son with me and I just left Sonoma for his therapy session and I thought would be nice to stop there for a second, on the way home!
