Back in March, I made the decision to buy a Kamado Joe Classic 3 Grill. I called around to several local businesses who are authorized retailers and when I called this group, I was told they had just placed an order, and they had 4 coming in 2 to 3 weeks. Excited, I asked if I could pay online and I was told no, online orders sometimes do not get processed correctly and to use his words, "go into a black hole", (this should have been red flag one) but since they are local and I wanted to support them anyway I literally drove to the location to pay in full in person to hold my place in line. Fast forward 4 weeks, I call and they tell me there rep said he couldn't get them to them. The guy apologized and said that I can expect the grill in another 4 weeks. I said I understood and waited. Fast forward to today. 3 months later, when I called they said they still have no idea when they will get them, then blamed the pandemic for their low inventory and said he had, "No clue when they would come." Told me about how people waiting for a particular refrigerator were waiting over a year. Again, the only reason I went with this group was because they told me it would be 2 to 3 weeks when I paid for it. I posted on Reddit asking if anyone in CT knew of anywhere I could purchase this grill, as I am convinced this local retailer is not doing what they can to secure this grill. I was told right away that there is a company called Atlanta Grill Company, who ships to CT. In shock I called them and the woman confirmed they not only had them in stock, but that if I ordered before 3pm she would ship it out today. Well needless to say I made that choice and called and canceled my order with this group. If you are one of the literal 12 people on "the list" I recommend you do the same... Nice guys who will give you every excuse in the book, but they have no intention of going the extra mile to secure you a grill or appliance, regardless of what...
Read moreIn response to Laurie Giff - For some reason I can't log in for the owner's reply, so I have to do it as a separate post. Maybe you are unaware of the facts as they pertain to "your friend". She called me because the water line in her house, part of her plumbing, broke and she had a flood. We had installed her new refrigerator 3 1/2 YEARS AGO, and connected to HER EXISTING WATER LINE which was fine at the time, and has been for 3 1/2 YEARS. Again, it is HER PLUMBING, and NOT any fault of our installation. As a customer service gesture, I PAID a technician, and for new copper pipe, to repair HER PLUMBING, which again, had NOTHING to do with our installation. I challenge you to find another business, who would offer a gesture like this. YES, the technician did write up the bill ($145+tax, not $190), and called ME (not Gary) as instructed on his work order. I told him that "your friend" had purchased her appliances from us 3 1/2 YEARS AGO, and to DO HER THE FAVOR of a COURTESY SERVICE, and charge her ZERO$$$! Please Note - we did not replace a part of HER PLUMBING that we had installed, we merely made the connection TO her plumbing, which was fine at the time, and has been fine for 3 1/2 years. This is NOT something that we did wrong, if anything, we went ABOVE and BEYOND to offer this courtesy. For you to get behind a computer screen and trash my 94 year old, 4 generation, business is, unfair, unjust, inaccurate, and slanderous.

Read moreMY FRIEND'S TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Looking to get a new refrigerator and asked my friend if she knew anything about Associated Appliance. My friend then proceeded to tell me how a repairman came to fix a water hookup to her refrigerator originally installed by Associated to correct an issue that caused so much water damage. She said she spoke to Gary the day before and he said it would be a courtesy replacement. Once the repair was done, she was handed a bill for $195. She said it was to be a free replacement, but the repairman said she was mistaken and heard wrong. He called Gary and they mocked her saying that only the materials were courtesy and it was implied that she would pay for a labor charge. This is disgusting that my friend was treated so badly, all while she is still dealing with replacing a wall that was heavily damaged from the water from the refrigerator that they installed 3 years ago. I don't think this is a great way to run a business, in my opinion. They will not get...
