Honeyspot Pizza 5 — Restaurant in Monroe

Had an outstanding experience here at Honeyspot Pizza 5! The wings were juicy but crispy on the outside, the pizza was extremely fresh (cheese oozing & sauce sizzling) & the salad I ordered for my family was clearly cut to order where as other pizza joints just grab prepackaged vegetables & toss it around. Honeyspot Pizza 5 pays attention to clear detail & their customer service was very helpful seeing as I didn’t know what to order my family! The owner himself made relatable small talk about feeding his family & what they like so i took his advice & wasn’t disappointed! (Prices were also extremely reasonable & affordable & nothing out of the ordinary was charged or expected!

I took other comments/ratings into perspective & looked around a bit for “uncleanliness” or “rude banter” from employees & neither were found or seen. I’m coming to find that ratings at times are overly exaggerated or poorly misjudged (which breaks my heart) Honeyspot 5 was extremely clean, the cook washed his hands multiple times (while checking on pies in the brick oven, in between orders & picking up phone orders) & I even did a bathroom check to see if the restrooms were clean AND THEY WERE. I truly enjoyed my meal, my family complimented on it & we will DEFINITELY BE BACK! Thank you to Honeyspot 5 for a great meal, genuine hospitality & a new family favorite when we’re around! This place is rather crude, even for a pizza joint. I expect pizza parlors to be informal, super casual and relaxed, but I do not expect rudeness and disrespect. It is very nice to see that the owner responds to reviews with words of concern and promises of improvement but the actions do not reflect the words. There is little attention paid to details, to food quality or to the customers for that matter. The pizza itself was just ok... nothing special, not bad, not even really good. It was JUST ok. Edible. Not enough sauce. I love GOOD pizza and I have had REALLY great pizza and REALLY crappy pizza, but this was neither. It was simply unspecial. I loved the Greek salad with the balsamic vinaigrette, it was very tasty and filling. The pizza was good, could have used some more cheese on it, but tasted fine. Nice, crispy crust and the broccoli was firm, not mushy. The service was not the fastest, I ordered my pizza and salad and had to wait about 30 minutes, and it was not busy at the restaurant at all. The cashier was pleasant enough. The atmosphere of the restaurant… well, there is none. A bunch of small tables lined up against both sides of the walls. No decor, very bare bones.
