Only giving ONE star because I HAVE to! I sure hope this place feels great about taking EVERYTHING we had from a single mother and three small children!! Long story but I'll sum it up, I had to go to California due to medical issues and had to give up our home in Washington due to these medical issues so I felt safe leaving absolutely everything we had in our storage until, well my children's father was trying MULTIPLE different attempts to make the payment for our until and the employees said I had to update my profile with them adding his name and then send then an email telling them I approve him making payment for me. I did JUST as they asked and I checked every day and absolutely NO CHANGES had been mad and he was unable to make the payment. I called in SEVERAL times speaking to a female employee, the same employee whom told me she would make the changes RIGHT away and was making notes on my account of what was going on so they wouldn't think we just abandoned our until. Days go by and STILL no changes and he's STILL unable to make the payment and I'm in the hospital so kind of hard for me to do much but I called many many times and was unable to reach anyone at all but I left SEVERAL voicemails and sent SEVERAL emails regarding the matter and NOT ONE RESPONSE FROM ANYONE AT ALL, few days later I FINALLY reach the SAME female employee after leaving the hospital to add money to my account to make the payment since I'm the only one on the email and after trying SEVERAL times to make the payment online and over the phone with the automated system, which of course wouldn't work because it said my phone number coukd not be located with a unti, the female employee then tells me "Oh, I think your unit is gone" and I then ask her what she's talking about and she's says "your unitl was just auctioned off two days ago". Of course I'm FRANTIC and ask her HOW this happened if SHE note my account and I ask her WHY she didn't update my profile with them so my children's father coukd make the payment and she claims she did but no changes were made, EVER! I then start to cry because my children unfortunately have been through SO much recently and NOW have lost EVERYTHING they had over something that wasn't OUR fault, the employee tells me she's going to reach out to the person that purchased my unit and tell them the situation and have them seel it back to me so we can have our belongings and that the purchaser will be the one to contact me directly and soon. It had now been 2 WEEKS and NOT ONE WORD and I'm still currently under medical attention so I'm unable to just go back to Washington and find out WHATS going on and I've asked SEVERAL times to speak to a manager and the employee told me she would have them manager call me but she will just tell me the same thing. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING ME AND MY CHILDREN HAVE AND NOW ITS COMPLETELY GONE OVER ISSUES THAT WE TRIED TO RESOLVE THAT WERENT EVWN OUR FAULT AND I DO NOT SEE HOW THIS IS LEGAL! I DO WISH SOMEONE WOUKD REACH OUT TO ME SO I COULD FIND OUT WHAT IS GOING ON! -...
Read moreI see that a lot of people have had positive experiences with this company but unfortunately I am not one of them. I went on Friday to talk about getting an outdoor parking spot. I talk with the manager and he tells me they have a spot opening up but I can't rent it until the current person clears out fully. I can come back on Monday to fill out the payment information and they can hold the spot for 3 days. I agree give them my information and leave. Come back on Monday to pay and am told that the space was sold over the weekend and they have no more available in that size. To top it off I also mentioned on Friday that I don't have the trailer yet as I was planning on purchasing it later that week after I had a spot for it. I was told that it was fine so long as I didn't park it there until I showed them documentation. Fast forward to today Monday where a different sales person tells me it is impossible to purchase a spot until I show them a title and proof of insurance. Overall I feel like I was lied to and my time was wasted. Edit: I decided to find storage at another facility but to there credit they did offer me a larger space that they had available at a same cost of the other unit. So I will change my original 1 star...
Read moreWhile renting a unit at Storage Court Monroe my experience was uneventful. Their rules are very strict but I imagine that is standard. However when I decided to end my rental with them I abided by their rules of giving notice by the 10th of the month and vacating by the 31st (which I actually did on the 28th). It was to my surprise and dismay that I was charged for the following month even though I had ended my rental agreement. I called to complain and was told they could not issue me a refund because paperwork had to be sent to the coorporate office and may take up to two weeks. I was very unhappy because of a leaner month due to time off during the holidays. Two weeks passed and I still had not received my check so I called again. They said they would check into the matter.....I heard nothing. One more week and I called again only be be given a similar answer. Another week passed, another phone call, nothing..... This business has failed on all levels; first they did not end my billing when I vacated my rental, then they did not refund me the money, then they did not refund me when they said they would, then I was not given good service with my follow up...
