TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & END RESULT
Flowers from Laura's were supposed to be delivered to Corl Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, May 14 2019 for a 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm one-day viewing. This funeral home is literally right down the road from Laura's, and when I arrived at the funeral home at 2 pm that day, the arrangement I ordered had NOT been delivered. I called Laura's at 2:09 pm and spoke to a woman who told me the arrangement would "arrive shortly," with NO APOLOGY WHATSOEVER for the delay. I visited in the funeral home until approximately 3 pm, and still no arrangement had arrived. After I left the funeral home, I called Corl's funeral director at 6 pm that day and was told the flowers had just arrived minutes ago for the 6 pm viewing. Since my flowers were only present in the funeral home for 50% of the viewings, does that mean that I get a 50% reduction in my bill??? I might add that I was polite at all times on the phone with Laura's employees, and I might be a bit more forgiving if my deceased relative had a two-day viewing, but this was only a one-day viewing. NO APOLOGIES from Laura's employees, and this company did NOT do what they promised. Therefore, I can't recommend this company; spend your money elsewhere.
REBUTTAL TO OWNER COMMENTS BELOW:
I am aware there is a "flower holding area" in this funeral home, but I had three separate funeral home employees at three separate times checking to see if my arrangement had arrived at the funeral home. After my 2:09 pm phone call to Laura's, a young male funeral home employee physically went to the flower holding area in the basement to check if flowers had arrived, and they had not.
At approximately 3:00 pm (when owner says flowers were now physically in the funeral home building,) the funeral director himself physically went down to the flower holding area in the basement, and said the flowers were still not there.
At 6:00 pm, I spoke to a female secretary on the phone who also checked for the flowers. It was during this phone call that I was told the flowers had just arrived minutes ago for the 6:00 pm viewing.
So, I had three different funeral home employees who are all consistently telling me that the flower arrangement was not in the building until minutes before 6:00 pm and a flower shop owner who says the arrangement was delivered at 2:24 pm. Hmmmmm......
In this case, I will let the consumer reading this to draw their own conclusions about the veracity of this...

I wish I can give zero stars. The service I received from Laura Boutique Florist/Johnston the Florist is the WORST experience I have ever encountered. I would NEVER recommend this florist to anyone.
We went to this florist two days prior to my mother funeral to pick out the funeral floral arrangement that we wanted the first day. They were quick to start an order form and ask if we wanted to pay today before we even picked out any sort of arrangement.
The second day we went in, we picked the floral arrangement that we wanted and pay. We also confirm the date and time with the florist. She says that the arrangement will be at the funeral home a day prior since our viewing was so early the next day.
The morning of my mother funeral, we walked in to no floral arrangement at all. We asked the funeral director about them and he says that nothing was delivered. We tried to call the shop in the morning, but the shop was closed. Halfway through my mother viewing, we finally got in touch with the floral shop. They basically blame the funeral home and my family for not calling to confirm.
I do not believe that it is our responsibility to call to confirm, especially whenever we already paid for the service. To blame my family for their mistake was just wrong. My family was grieving and for you to blame us for you not doing your job is unacceptable. We never got an apology of any sort.

Read moreThis place is impossible to work with and has horrible service. I began contacting this place the first week of August and my wedding is the middle of September. I sent emails inquiring about ordering flowers in bulk and the woman Laura who I worked with took DAYS to respond every single time I sent her an e-mail and she didn't seem to understand that I wanted to order bulk flowers either. We also tried to set up a time and day for me to come to the shop so that I could meet with them in person and discuss what kind of flowers I wanted to buy. She would take so long to respond to me that any opportunities that I had to drive out there (which would take me an hour to make the drive) we're already missed. I would call and leave a voicemail and would never get a call back then days later get an email finally answering any questions that I had asked in a previous email. Then I would send an email back trying to work things out and DAYS would go by before I would hear from her again. Finally it is now just a few days before my wedding and I have not been able to meet with her or figure out anything specific and I am now told that if I put an order in for flowers there is a good possibility I will not be able to get them because it is so close to my wedding day. I started contacting her a month ago! There was plenty of time for her to respond in a timely manner for us to work this out and me to be able to buy bulk flowers for my wedding day but she took so long in between responses that it is now way too close and I can't get what I was hoping to get.
