Best experience so far! Diana was courteous, sincere and very patient. She has genuine interest in excelling in her work and also in helping the prospective tenants. She had answers to all my questions and she was through, professional and very kind; seeing such a dedication at a young age is rare now-a-days; she is definitely an asset to the management. Both Diana and Jetzabel have surprisingly good memory; Jetzabel helped me with the paperwork, clarifying all my doubts with patience; thank you Jetzabel!
Move-in was smooth for me. we got a pleasant surprise when we saw a bottle of welcome drink that was waiting for us in the apartment on the first day. It is not about the money but this type of gesture was priceless. The complex is definitely very modern and different; for example, parking is on each floor so that one doesnât have to wait for the elevator every time after parking. They have an excellent package delivery receiving system, complete with Amazon hub in the building, including a refrigerator, meaning even packages that contains frozen items can be delivered even at tenantâs absence; the bath tubs are conveniently and pleasantly wider; the router is on the ceiling, giving very good wifi signal everywhere. Â They even have separate elevator for move-in; that is very nice. Kitchen sink is surprisingly big and the LED lights are modern and awesome; I can go on and on.
There are some minor irritants like, the tenants donât have any choice in selecting the internet provider; also, there is a room for improvement for their monthly statements, especially the first few months. They wonât give the key on the previous day evening, before the lease starts, meaning âmovingâ cannot happen on the early morning of your first day. When I mentioned them that I was not happy with the location of the parking space allotted for me, they were kind enough to change it immediately. But you will not get the parking space you want, even if the space you prefer is vacant; at least, I did not get the space I wanted, in spite of the space being vacant for the past three months. However, these are surely minor irritants, not major issues. There is no such thing as ideal apartment as there is no such thing as ideal tenant. Definitely five-star so far and I sincerely hope that it remains that way in the years...

Moving in was incredibly convenient due to several factors, including an unloading area for moving trucks, reserved elevator access, and spacious hallways that made moving furniture a breeze. The staff has consistently been friendly and responsive to all our inquiries. They are also pet-friendly, which our dog greatly appreciates! The maintenance team is truly amazing.
Avalon Monrovia offers fantastic amenities, including a pool, hot tub, gym, Amazon locker, and various community social spaces such as the rooftop area, which have significantly enhanced our overall experience.
To share a short story, my wife and I once helped host a surprise birthday party for a friend on the rooftop lounge area. Patrick Mead (Sales and Service Supervisor) and the Avalon staff were incredibly helpful in answering all our questions about hosting the party and were extremely supportive and accommodating. During the party, we accidentally overloaded the electrical outlets, causing a breaker to trip and cutting power to the rooftop area. However, this mishap didn't end the celebration. We immediately called the maintenance team, and Matthew Solis arrived promptly to resolve the issue. He quickly reset the breaker, explained what had caused the problem, and ensured that the party continued without any further disruptions. Matthew's quick response, patience, and friendly demeanor throughout the entire process were highly appreciated by us and all of our guests!
In summary, we have thoroughly enjoyed our time at Avalon Monrovia and would wholeheartedly recommend...

UPDATE Itâs been more than 3 months and AvalonBay corporate still hasnât fixed the problem. The wall has been dried three times but the cause for the leak still has not been fixed or determined. So every time it rains, we can expect a leak! We have been told that the contractors will be starting work but nothing yet. Have other residents had issues with Avalon Corporate similar to this?

We love the neighborhood and community. However, we have had consistent leaks with this winterâs rains. First leak was above the living room windows; the most recent leak is through the ceiling in the loft. Nothing has been fixed even over a month of problems. Avalon Corporateâs solution has been to open up walls, expose electrical wires, and ask us to book and pay for our own hotel rooms. Their solution is to break lease on our expense. We are a family of 5 (including 2 toddlers and a senior grandmother). If you are looking for a place to live that will repair and resolve problems when they happen, Avalon is highly NOT recommended! You will be left to figure things out yourself with no help...
