Avoid This Place – Dishonest & Deceptive Practices!
I had an absolutely terrible experience at Fast Fix in the Montebello Mall and feel completely swindled. I originally purchased a pair of 1-carat diamond earrings in 14K gold Martini settings from Macy’s and was referred to Fast Fix by the Macy’s jeweler to have the earring posts switched to 14K gold screw-backs. I even received a 10% off coupon for the service.
When I arrived at Fast Fix, I specifically asked if they could replace the posts with solid 14K gold screw-backs, and they assured me they could. Within an hour, my earrings were ready, but I immediately noticed something off—the posts had a dark, gray-black metal connecting to what looked like a cheap, nickel-plated screw-back. I questioned the jeweler multiple times, concerned about the visible color difference, but was repeatedly assured it was 100% 14K gold.
I paid (without receiving the 10% discount I was promised), trusting their word—big mistake. Within days, I began experiencing severe pain, redness, dryness, and scaly irritation in my earlobes. The pain worsened so much that I ended up in the emergency room. It turns out that whatever they used was NOT solid 14K gold, and I suffered a severe allergic reaction from metals like cobalt and chromium
After this ordeal, I looked up their Yelp reviews—turns out, I’m not alone. Multiple customers report similar scams, including watch battery replacements that mysteriously result in broken watches days later. This is a pattern of deceit, and they are deliberately tampering with valuable jewelry to profit off unnecessary repairs.
I am now having my earrings professionally tested and gathering medical reports as I move forward with legal action. The pain, stress, and financial loss they caused me is completely unacceptable.

I came in for a battery replacement and the owner tried to fool me to get my screen replaced when I had told him MULTIPLE TIMES I only wanted my battery replacement (keep in mind battery replacements are replaced w a new battery.) He ask for my phone then takes it to the back for 35 MINUTES and tells me "The screen might crack more because we have to take the screen off" so then I thought maybe its nothing serious becuase Ive seen screens removed super easily. He charged me $$53 for the battery AND so when i got home and charged it , MY WHOLE BATTERY WAS DRAINED IN JUST A MATTER OF A COUPLE HOURS !!! I went back the next day and they said everything was fine , that I needed a new charger and a freaking screen replacement.... !! I went to some other place that just a few places down and they took the screen off in just 15 SECONDS NO HASSLE and checked the battery and told me THEY GAVE ME A USED A BATTERY . They showed me a new battery compared to the one 'Fast-Fix Jewelry and Watch Repairs' put on my phone . This is where I comfronted the owner and told asked him if they had actually replaced my battery and it was so hard for him to answer me. He constanly tried to blame the problem on me for their horrible service .He ended up giving me my money back and my battery back because he noticed customers walking away and all the truth coming out in his CORRUPT store he runs that has people coming...... Fast Fix Jewelry and Watch Repairs had broke my screen even more so that they can make some money off me , broke my front camera , and replaced my battery w an old one.

After I told them what happened they said to give them a week to find a new face for my watch after 2 weeks they finally called me back and said they could not find a replacement but that they'll give me a discount on a new watch. All the watches I saw that looked nice enough for a potential replacement, felt cheap and gimmicky the only one that I liked and felt descent was labelled $795 , and he offered to sell it to me for $300 but when I looked it up online it was being sold everywhere for around $72-$80 exact same model. When i showed them this Alfaro turned me away and said he couldnt help me. Keep in mind they are the ones whole messed up my favorite watch. Extremely bad service. Dont waste your money here.
