POC here and I have to say that I shop here about 4 times a month. They are always very kind and helpful, and they recognize me and members of my family. Many times they have helped me with recipes and taken the time to explain some ingredients to me. They are usually watching shows behind the counter. I've stopped a few times to watch and see if I can follow since I am learning the language. Since we are ALL POC, it is not helpful to go into these shops with a chip on your shoulder or whatever other issues you may be having. Went to Seoul Market for the first time yesterday and they have you sanitize your hands before going shopping at a little station in front which was awesome. I walked out with almost $100 worth of foods and snacks I have never tried before. I also got their homemade kimchi and omg was it delicious. Tonight I made ramen and it came out so good.
