La Costa wasn’t too bad of a place on the first visit. The on the rocks margarita was extremely watered down but they did make up for it with their frozen one. The music was uncomfortably loud in the area we were seated and we had to shout to hear each other. However, the food wasn’t bad and the server was sweet. On the second visit, it was definitely revealed how disorganized they were across the board. Loud music even sitting further away from our first trip still had us shouting to have normal conversation and couldn’t hear the server well. They didn’t have the frozen marg this time which sucked because we already knew the rocks version was going to be weak sauce, but maybe this trip would be different? Then a different server shows up and asks if we actually wanted the chips and salsa that seemingly were complimentary on our last visit and at the other tables being served on this visit...um, yeah why not? But MAYBE they were short on chips? Not sure, it wasn’t really explained but moving on. Then the first server comes back with only one of the two margs and tells us a table with a large party has used all their marg glasses. There were no more than 8 people at that table, plus the one glass on ours apparently means a Mexican restaurant only has 9 marg glasses? “Chips and salsa” server walked by twice by this time with no delivery of either. Just seemed disorganized and unprepared so we left. Didn’t want to wait for whatever they wouldn’t be able to provide because of the one large table. I’m good. I’ll stick with IXTAPA or Taco Bell. I have a striking suspicion the reason for the current rating is because there is a trend in Montgomery, residents are okay with services being mediocre at absolute...
Read moreWhen giving a rating for a Mexican restaurant it can be a little tricky. To start off with, everyone seem to be very nice. Our Hostess and our waitress was very attentive, and We ordered our dinner and it came out within 10 minutes, which was pretty fast considering it was five of us eating, and dinner time. Salsa: It was very tasty and not to thin or thick, perfect (for us). Food: Everything was good, not great but good. My father complained about his tacos being (WAY TO SALTY), so we all tried them and concluded that my dad is old and that something is wrong with this taste buds lol, just kidding. Everyone else was happy with their choice. Prices: About the same as any other Mexican restaurant, $4-5 for children, $6-12 for adults. Cleanliness: I wasn't impressed from the outward appearance and a little better on the inside. We sat over in the corner next to where the doors to the air conditioning or to the refrigerators were. They seem to be very dusty and dirty like they have never Been touched. So then I imagine what the kitchen was looking. Never made my way back there but I sure hope it was cleaner then the corner we were sitting in. I tried to explain and hopefully it will be cleaned up very soon. Either way I would definitely come back for...
Read moreCCW be warned! You can't go into this establishment because they will prosecute you! They don't allow any weapons for any reason even if you do have the mother may I card from the state of Alabama and their sign on their front door threatens you with prosecution if you do so... I'll go to other businesses that do appreciate the fact that we live in the United States in the state of Alabama and have the freedom to protect our selves and there's the fact that I'm not walking around in a city with as high a crime rate as they have without protecting myself and my family.
would not recommend for their absolute lack of second amendment support... and just to be fair if they had a no open carry sign I understand it's private property they're entitled to that also I'm ccw....but they're not entitled to remove my second amendment rights entirely.
Don't forget the word soup in that law "with intent to commit a crime" technically there could be "intent" to commit a crime just walking past the sign where you're threatened with...
