We stopped here because I googled souvenirs shops in Montgomery. Boy am I glad we ended up stopping here. Not only did we get amazing souvenirs we learned so much about Montgomery History while being there. The owner is the definition of Southern Hospitality, she gave us popsicles, discount, and let our puppy come inside too, gave us tips for our trip and made my family feel like we were her family, even took pictures for us and with us!! Read moreI am in town for a conference and walked over to see MLK’s house when I happened upon this lovely shop. Ms. Val was so sweet — I was sweating buckets and she handed me a bottle of water and talked to me all about the history of the block — she showed me the famous picture of Dr. King leading the students in protest in front of the historic hotel Ben Moore, and then took me outside so she could take my picture in the very same spot.
