Baristas and Barristers — Restaurant in Montgomery

It has been years since I was so impressed with a place that I immediately felt I had to post a glowing review, but Baristas and Bannisters has changed that streak! This is a beautiful, thoughtfully designed coffee shop with art that celebrates history and culture. The owner (I presume she's the owner, anyway, from the pride she takes in her shop) was so very friendly and kind. She struck up conversation with me and when I mentioned I'm on my way back to Maryland from Mobile, she went into "mom mode" and was making sure I know all the solo travel tips to stay safe. She was so caring and makes a killer caramel latte. I love this little shop and will absolutely stop by everytime I'm passing through when I roadtrip. It's clear that community thrives in this coffee shop from how her many regulars treat her and each other, and lord knows we need a strong sense of community these days. Stopped in for a hot chocolate and felt like we left with new friends ! My husband and I were traveling through Montgomery and I always search for "best hot chocolate " and Baristas and Barristers came up. The name piqued my interest and we headed that way. Very yummy hot chocolate, lovely atmosphere, but it was the 2 women working there that really were what made our visit so nice. So warm and friendly, big smiles and an easy way about them made them feel like people we knew for much longer than just meeting. There was also regular there that struck up a conversation with my husband and we found ourselves chatting for close to 30 minutes! Best part, my husband met a "birthday twin" born same day And year! Incredible Coffee & Even Better Hospitality!

I stopped by Baristas and Barristers for an iced mocha latte, and it was absolutely delicious—perfectly sweet and so smooth! But what truly made my experience unforgettable was the kindness of the staff. The ladies working there were beyond amazing! When I mentioned that I was in town for a big exam, they went above and beyond by offering me a private tea room to study in.
