Trademark Coins and Currency — Local services in Montgomery

This coin dealer is housed inside an antique mall. I visited on a Wednesday and despite their posted hours saying it was open, the owner of the business was not present. I was told he comes in on Thursdays. I would recommend they update their hours available on Google and their website to hours they are actually at the counter and available to conduct business.

Approximately 1 hour after leaving a three-star review, I was contacted by the owner of this business who apparently tracked me down on the internet and got my phone number. He then called me and berated me for leaving a negative review. Three stars is not negative. It is middle of the road. He led off with "he is a veteran and it was his birthday and was he not allowed to take some time away from the store?" When I walked into the antique shop the staff there told me he was not in today and that he would be in on Thursday. I left the review based on the information I was given. They said he did not keep regular hours so I thought it was misleading for him to post those hours. I drove from an hour away to visit this shop and it was a complete waste of time. If you are going to be in this business for long you need to develop some thicker skin and learn to accept that not everyone likes the way you conduct business. It's a Google review for crying out loud. Maybe it will help the next person decide to call in advance instead of driving across Montgomery to an unattended store. Not a bad thing to say about this place. The guy running the place is prior military, so why not help a veteran with his business? Hell he helped all of us with our freedom. Anyway I searched for a coinshop and couldn't find one within 60 miles of this one. He has awesome stuff and prices so good I don't see how he can stay in business. You can tell that he does it for the love of the old money, as he doesn't pressure you into buying he will talk to you about coins, and the history of it, and to me that is how you you stay in business. I don’t recommend this shop to any one. They low ball everything you bring in and treat you like you’re uneducated. They are very rude in talking to you. They will try to convince you that mint condition items are damaged so they don’t have to pay you full price. They want to low ball you and sell high. My advice is to stay away from this shop.
