DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY your money. I just experienced my worst financial experience of my lifetime with National Life Group. I spent years and years contributing to my retirement account every pay check to National Life Group. I accumulated tens of thousands of dollars.
I decided to roll my money over to a new company and account. My experience was horrific. National Life Group treated MY money as their own and did not want to give it up. They took 30 business days to issue a check. Once they issued a check, they issued the check to THE WRONG NAME. They also would not send my money to me so I could deliver the money myself to my new company.
I checked with my new company to see if their check was sent. My new company said Yes, but, the name is wrong from the instructions they were given to issue check. I was told I would need a new check issued.
I called National life group and spent 2 hours on the phone. I was constantly put on hold for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. I was told my check was cashed and that they could not help me anymore.
My new company is telling me they can’t deposit my check because the payee was made out wrong and National Life Group is telling me my money is gone because the check was cashed. I was given no help or solutions.
I asked to speak to a supervisor and was told I would have to wait 48 hrs to speak to one. Are you kidding me?!? I was missing tens of thousands of dollars and I have to wait days to speak to a supervisor?!?
I left my phone call in tears believing my retirement saving was stolen and fraud occurred. When I told the representative that I believe fraud occurred, she argued with me and said that my situation was not fraud. Well, what do you call it then?
DO NOT GIVE NATIONAL LIFE GROUP your money. Absolutely the worst company...
Read moreNational Life Group does not care about facts, updated records, or people who have ever been less than happy in their lives and sought treatment. I submitted proof that a serious misdiagnosis by my (now former) psychiatrist was amended, and clearly warned that there were several inaccuracies in those records & that I was being overprescribed medication and given medication that was not even pertinent to my diagnosis (as told by 3 MDs). I was nothing but honest, transparent, and cooperative throughout the process.
Still, they managed to find something minuscule to nitpick, sent me on a wild goose chase for even more documentation, and ultimately denied me anyway — due to “anxiety” (which came from very real life circumstances such as long-term mental abuse, unexpected death of best friend, extreme work pressure & long hours, etc.).
And God forbid you drop psychiatry and choose a holistic approach in order to avoid being over-medicated and misdiagnosed again — they immediately label you “unstable.”
It’s clear they have no real understanding of mental health and treat anyone with a history of anxiety or depression like a permanent liability. The experience was humiliating, dismissive, highly stressful, and honestly felt discriminatory.
Their motto is “Do Good. Be Good. Make Good.” Unfortunately, nothing about the way I was treated...
Read moreUpdate to companies comment: I did contact compliance and never heard back. Never use this company. National Life needs to do a better job vetting their advisors. Mine had committed fraud and was under investigation with Fincra and ultimately lost his license. I did not ask for this product and the advisor had me sign after pushing hard sales tactics and not leaving my home for hours. This products goes under an insurance license but they need to look at other suspension of licenses and if their advisors have had multiple terminations from other companies. Do better. Also a very expensive product and they’re better ones out there if this is a...
