The manager Tom is who I just so happened to flag down for some help in the kayak department, I asked if someone could help me with questions and purchase of a kayak. Tom proceeded to help me and as I explained I had been to 4 other stores looking for this kayak because the other kayaks were floor models and had damage to the bottom, so I asked if they had the one I wanted still in its packaging from the manufacturer? Tom then proceeds to lecture me on the fact the manufacturer does not pack them or wrap them. So upon him acting like I inconvenienced him while he was trying to get the kayak down I made the mistake of trying to help by stating there was a pin in the racking system still holding it in and Tom stared at me with a "go to he_l look" and made the statement of "Really” in a sarcastic tone. By this point I was disgusted with manners and actions of Tom and I replied back to him that I was sorry for trying to help because I did not want the kayak damaged. After getting the kayak down and inspecting it I found the manufacturer did not bolt down one of the hatches to the dry storage so I asked if I could get like 10% off the kayak for the issue. At this point is when he turned on his employees in front of me the customer with belittling actions quizzing them and pressuring them into making the decision on the discount. Read moreI placed an online order for store pickup, for convenience. My wife picked up the order. When I looked in the order, the bag which should have contained one of the products I ordered, a sleeping mat, was filled with a bedsheet. The SKU number on the bag they gave me didn't match my order.
I called the store and talked with an associate who was quite rude. She said she's remembered my wife coming in. My wife had stated this employee was also quite rude, and originally only have us one of two items we ordered. My wife questioned her because she thought it was two, and received a rude response. The second item, once provided, was incorrect.
I talked with the store manager, he stated the only help her could provide is if I came back into the store to return the bedsheet I was inappropriately given. Driving back to the store which is a forty five minute round trip is not convenient. I was also told the same thing by the online ordering customer service. Without convenience, I see no reason to shop here versus online retailers. I requested a refund, but they said they cannot process without me in store. I know that this is not plausible given the sophistication of online ordering systems. When this had happened with Amazon, they just send you a new one, almost no questions. I'm questioning the convenience of in store pickup, if it places you on order fulfillment limbo, and no one can...
