Stay away from floor and decor, especially is you are buying in large bulk. We bought 1500sq.ft. (40 boxes) of Hillside White oak hardwood flooring at this Mooresville location, and spent $9k. We had our contractor start the install and has put down about 750sq.ft. of the color we actually wanted with the green circle in the picture attached, When he started opening the 2nd pallet of boxes, he realized the wood was a completely different shade of color. I spent hours on the phone the first day and was given the go around by multiple different employees at that location. I went to the store in person the following day, only to be told by Patrick, the store manager, that there is nothing they can do. He insisted we bring back the remainder of the boxes and go on a goose hunt and open boxes at different locations to try and match colors. Another employee at the store, Jim, insisted we put down all the flooring and it'll match up in 30 days or so, because it probably hasn't had time to dry properly after it left the factory. This is a pre-finished floor by the way. So Ridiculous. I was told by Patrick that I would be put on an email chain with multiple managers at different locations to help out with this issue, and that never happened either. I drove to the pineville location they had a third different shade of the same flooring. After two long days, and our contractor waiting around without him being unavailable the following week due to his schedule, we had no choice but to have him install the rest of the flooring, as we could no longer afford the Airbnb we were staying at with my family. I have never witnessed such terrible customer service. We spent $20k in total for flooring and labor, after saving up for two years to finally get this done, and we are stuck with 3 different shades of flooring throughout our house as seen in the photos. Hello. My name is Alex, and I work as a truck driver for one of the companies. I didn’t want to recall this situation, but in the end, I decided that people should know about it.

My residential complex is located near this store (Floor & Decor). My routes usually take several weeks, and if I get the chance to spend a night at home with my family, I’m truly grateful for that opportunity.

On one such day, I parked my truck on their lot—in a spot where it was not obstructing anyone. I never leave trash behind and always try to avoid causing any inconvenience to others. However, when I returned the next day, my truck and trailer were gone. They had decided to tow it and handed me a bill for $2,600. These towing fees are usually made up arbitrarily, with no justification whatsoever.

Yes, there was a sign stating that parking was prohibited, so I admit my mistake in that regard. But why tow a truck and impose such an exorbitant fee? The question is rhetorical—for them, it’s just business. I’m sure if they get the chance to squeeze money out of their own customers, they won’t hesitate to do so.

Naturally, this is a huge financial blow to me and my family—a significant loss for us. But apparently, they need that money more than we do.
