T.J. Maxx — Local services in Moorpark

I’d give my home TJ five stars because it’s always there when I need it most! Today, I was checked out by Katherine and she was sincerely kind and interacted extremely positively with my son and I. To the point where this review should be beaming with how amazing of an employee she seems to be!

However, it seems to have been the either floor or store manager who made a comment loud enough for me to hear. I thought the best way to solve would be through review so that no other mother is forced into an uncomfortable situation.

While Katherine and another worker were admiring the smiles, laughter, and giggles coming from my teething 11 month old at checkout… the woman (who I could only identify as a manager because she was giving the gals I was talking to notes) saw that my son was drooling and turned around because as she said, “I JUST CAN’T WITH DROOL AND BABIES” and began to make gestures like she was going to throw up. Followed by her body language of keeping her back to me and my son.

Katherine specifically said kind and sweet things about my son after that (that’s not what I was looking for) but I appreciated that she understood how that made me feel uncomfortable as a customer.

Is TJ Maxx not for families? Or do we have to be subjected to comments like this that make us uncomfortable enough to take our business elsewhere?

As soon as I entered the store, I saw the luggage that I was looking for for a Christmas present. Donna came by and noticed I was having some issues with figuring things out, so she immediately helped me! I found my set and she took it up by the register to make sure it would be safe while I did more shopping. Gloria, the greeter at the front door, was such a lovely person! She helped me so much and answering any questions I had about where items were in the store. Tori, at the register, ring us up with many smiles after we were finished shopping and spending over the budget, of course! Lol this has got to be one of the best stores that I have gone to. They have a great selection and you will be able to find a perfect gift for whoever you're looking for as! A special thanks to Vanessa who helped me find an Italian designer backpack slash purse. I love this discount family store. Good quality clothes, assessories, household items, home decor, and at times even you will find a few electronics. The outer part of the fixtures will be stocked by sets of the same item. the inner part of the fixtures is stocked by assorted items. So if you are looking on yjis section, keep in mind you need to take your time to look for what you want and your size. The store is always clean.
