Overlook at Rancho Belago — Local services in Moreno Valley

I have been living here for some time now and have seen a number of changes in office and maintenance personnel but all have been positive experiences. The rent is reasonable, compared to other states/cities and the location is reasonably safe (nothing like parts of New York, Philadelphia, Georgia, or any of those gun-toting southern states). I really do appreciate the atmosphere here.

The property managers, Susie and Pat [Pat has recently moved on to manage another property] know how to perform their jobs well and are very pleasant to deal with. Susie is now solo and she is doing a marvelous job. Her naturally caring nature helped many residents during this plandemic with getting paperwork in order for rental assistance because so many had lost jobs. She is very diligent and health-conscious when it comes to the residents and the property. Recently the pool and jacuzzi were closed down due to unacceptable levels of bacteria in the water. In a few days, the problem was quickly remedied when the pool guy did what he had to do to clean it and the waters are tested daily. She works hard at pleasing residents as well as the property owner.

The office personnel: Selly(comes in on Mondays), Jay, Yicel, and Jordan are extremely knowledgeable in their duties and will go out of their way to help. Very nice and pleasant young ladies and truly a positive asset to any office.

Maintenance: Although all of the maintenance crew are doing a wonderful job, I am really impressed with Gilbert and Levi.

Gilbert is extremely diligent and meticulous in performing his job duties. I walk my dog daily and I always see him working hard to maintain the property by keeping things neat, clean and orderly. He’s very pleasant and always respond to work orders in a timely manner. One Sunday when other maintenance personnel had their day off, we had an annoying emergency with a fire detector. It started emitting loud bursts of alarm sounds and removing the battery/disconnecting the wires did not help. Gilbert was the only one working that day and he came within 10 minutes after we reported it to the office. He determined that it was an older device (it surely was), and he replaced it. No problems since. He is also a great groundskeeper; always cleaning and tidying up. He is just a wonderful hardworking young man and very dedicated to his job.

Levi was from another property and he took over when one of our maintenance crew member was recuperating from surgery. He is also a very pleasant and hardworking young man. He, like Gilbert, respond to work orders in a timely manner. One such incident happened when our kitchen sink was leaking below and upon his inspection, he saw that the sink drain had rusted beyond repair. That same day, he went to get a replacement. He couldn’t locate one on the premises, so he used part of his lunch hour to search for one elsewhere. The sink was repaired before one. Home Sweet Home - With Great Service!

We moved into The Overlook at the beginning of 2024 and we’re really happy in our new home! From the moment we stepped in, we were impressed by the spacious interior of our two-bedroom apartment, the elevated ceiling, and the laminated flooring. The stainless-steel appliances look a bit outdated but it wasn’t a big deal for us. The in-home washer and dryer are definitely a convenient feature, making our daily life that much easier.

But what truly sets The Overlook apart is the incredible community and staff. The maintenance crew, particularly Gilbert, have been nothing short of amazing. Anytime we've needed something, they've been prompt and professional. Gilbert deserves a special shoutout for his dedication and professionalism.

The management team has also been great. Gabby, in particular, has been an absolute gem. Her kindness and willingness to help have made our experience here truly wonderful. To us she’s the star of the leasing office, always ensuring that we feel right at home.

As for amenities, they are top-notch! The pool, complete with a spa and poolside terrace, is a great spot for relaxation. The clubhouse and business center are kept clean and tidy. But to us the nicest feature is the walking trail next door. An amazing area to go for a quick walk and enjoy nature.

I lived here for about a year, and while the property itself was top notch(..and one of the only stylish apartments available in Moreno Valley), I found myself wanting in terms of the management team - my experiences with them seemed really hit or miss.

Maintenence requests were handled quickly, however I did have one maintenece issue occur just 5 minutes outside business hours on a Friday, and they refused to respond until the next business day(Monday). If you've ever lived in Moreno Valley, you'll know a weekend without AC is like a weekend in hell.

I had recommended a few friends here, and apparently I was qualified to receive some sort of referral bonus(to the tune of $1000 each), however, they screwed me out of the bonus, not once, but twice.

I obviously cannot blame these issues on the management team, but their apathy towards them(combined with their unwillingness to pay out the promised referral bonus) was the final straw that broke the camel's back, and made our decision to not renew our lease here - I had my car hit (twice), and we had our house burgled while my fiance was inside. They have since hired a security patrol, but I rarely see them.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend these apartments due to the management team's lack of concern for their residents safety. While the apartments represent a great value if your looking for something nice in Moreno Valley(which is very hard to come by), sadly, the management team is next to useless at best, and of course, they are still in Moreno Valley, so crime may...
