The employees at this store do not wear masks, beware of their COVID safety practices. If you are high risk/concerned about the pandemic, I do not recommend visiting this store.
My mom and I have historically LOVED going to this store. It is one of our favorite boutiques in the metro area. We regularly go for holidays, anytime we need to buy a present for someone, etc. They have an awesome assortment of items and the prices are reasonable. We tend to find things here that we can't seem to find in a lot of other boutiques in the area. Needless to say, we spend a lot of money here on a consistent basis and have always had an awesome experience with the employees here.
We had a really bad experience this afternoon, and I think it will likely deter us from visiting again in the future. We entered, and there was a single employee at the cash register wearing a mask and she was very friendly. We shopped around for probably 20 minutes, had a bunch of items to purchase, and I went to go pay and noticed there were now 3 employees at the register, none of which were wearing masks. 2 employees had their masks pulled down, and one didn't have a mask anywhere nearby. They were hanging out, not working which I would have been fine with had they been wearing masks.
I gave them the benefit of the doubt, waited another 5 min or so to go up to the register to purchase my items hoping they would put their masks on again but they didn't. I considered walking out and not purchasing my items.
I ended up going up to the register, they asked if I was ready to check out and I mentioned that I was, but that I was not comfortable to check out if they don't wear masks. The two who had masks put them on right away, and the third, looked around, and then squatted behind the counter pretending she wasn't there. She didn't have a mask nearby, and continued to talk to the 2nd employee the entire time during our transaction, just out of my line of sight. One of the employees rolled her eyes at me when I requested she wear a mask. I spent just over $100, and after I saw the eyeroll I almost walked out without paying but was so shocked by the response I got that I didn't really know what to do.
I am high risk, not to mention there is an executive order in Colorado that businesses must require masks indoors. All of the customers in the store were wearing masks, there was an elderly woman in the store as well within eyesight of the employees. I'm appalled at the response I got from the employees when I made a simple request that is standard at any of their competitor stores both in Morrison and the rest of the metro area.
I understand it can be considered a personal choice to wear a mask, but I am more offended about the response I received from the employees than them not wearing the masks themselves, and that is what prompted me to write this review. If you are trying to shop consciously and support small businesses during this tough economic time, find one that values the lives of their customers. This...
