I'm not sure even where to begin. Went for breakfast over the weekend. Sticky tables. Dirty stained paper menus. I assumed if there were paper menus, they were disposable, but not the case. The online menu is not up to date. Planned on having the relleno skillet. When the waitress said they didn't have a relleno skillet, I asked for one relleno on the side. I asked what was better in her opinion, the fried eggs or scrambled, I was advised scrambled were better. It took over a half hour to get our food, and when it came, I got a $15.00 relleno plate that had beans and lettuce, and the plate was sloppy with chile dripping off the side. (I also witnessed a server carrying a plate to a different table with a 4 inch string of cheese hanging off the side of it). Scrambled eggs were ice cold, and the English muffin wasn't toasted. Ordered hash browns and never got them. The inside of the coffee cups were so stained that you could wipe off with a light swipe of your finger. The table beside us had the same problem, asked the server for a clean cup, and they sent their coffee back, and when the waitress brought another cup, she said 'this is the cleanest cup I have'. WHAT? Service was poor at best. Not once were we checked on. I was a server for many , many years, and it seems that now there is no wait staff etiquette anymore in service or appearance. There was a very nice lady with short hair helping seat people but she looked sloppy in her oversized, stained shirt. Some servers had shorts so short, their aprons made it look like they weren't wearing pants at all. One server had her hair down. I don't expect hair nets on servers, but hair should be pulled back. The couple next us, one person's food was brought out, but the other person waited close to 15 minutes for theirs to be served. Unfortunately, I realize my opinion and experience is my own, but I would not go back...
Read moreMy wife and I tried this restaurant for the first (and last) time ever. Everything about it was a total train wreck.
First of all, this establishment did a terrible job of protecting patrons from COVID-19: (i) several employees sitting at the bar on break with NO MASKS on (ii) some of the tables were much closer than 6 feet apart (iii) salt shakers and ketchup bottles were provided instead of individual packages, meaning that multiple hands would touch them during the day.
Second of all, our server completely blew our order, bringing my wife the wrong burger and bringing me the wrong soft drink and salad dressing.
Third, my wife's burger was so raw and poorly cooked, she had a bad case of diarrhea by the time we got home.
And fourth, my club sandwich was bland and unappetizing. The "hoagie roll" was more like a discount brand hot dog bun and the fillings were tasteless cheap deli meats that clearly came out of the lowest quality packaged meats available.
And fifth, when the check came, we were charged for the wrong burger, which was $3 more than the burger she ordered.
And finally, before tip, lunch for two cost $40. We would have done much better getting sandwiches, chips, and drinks at Jimmy John's for about $23.
Bottom line--Red Rocks Grill deserves to go out of business, based on lack of attention to COVID safety, poor and unsafe food, and...
Read moreNot sure if the air conditioning was broken but it was a bit uncomfortable in the place. The waitress took a while to come take our order. When she brought our food, she started giving the plates to the wrong people ( wasn't a big order) i had ordered a chicken quesadilla and 3 carnitas tacos. The quesadilla was an appetizer but came out with the main food. The tacos were cold and the tortillas were soaked so when I tried to pick them up the bottom fell out and made a mess, on top of that the chicken quesadilla didn't have any chicken. The waitress passed by only once after dropping off food but when I say passed, she passed by and didn't bother asking any of us if we needed anything else. I think she saw that I was pissed and just kept walking. When we were done eating, my brother had to go find her to tell her we needed the check. She finally came to the table and I told her the problems I had with the food. I told her that the only thing I was going to pay for was the single beer I had ordered. She proceeded to cancel the items and I paid for the beer. She kind of looked a bit embarrassed...
