The location is undeniable and the breakfast is good but I'm still trying to figure out what I paid top dollar for. A broken hot tub, a broken shuttle, and a staff that massively overshares while they're pretend to be oblivious. I booked a room that was advertised as having a hot tub and a jacuzzi tub. I do not care about jacuzzi tubs, i cared about the hot tub.

We were also counting on a shuttle to get us to the show. The guy checking us in told us it was down but directed our attention to a separate flyer where he or someone else would gladly drive us to the show for $15. I didn't know how to tell him that's no replacement for a shuttle that was supposed to be included.

After settling the balance which I assume is the highest they charge, the clerk walks us to the room and basically walks in with us - I don't think anyone desires the hippie working at the desk to come into their room, but this guy did. I asked about the hot tub and it wasn't until then - after paying - that he informed me it was "down" or had been given to another room already - it was hard to tell which but there I was having paid top dollar for no hot tub at a hot tub cottage, offered nothing to offset this.

The clerk did point out the jacuzzi tub, which I'm not into - let's face it, the water doesn't fill fast enough. Oh, but the clerk let us know he's "been in that one" which immediately killed any thoughts on our parts to enjoy it. No, that pretty much ruined any such ideas right then and there. Every time I looked at that tub I thought of the check in clerk saying "I've been in it". Way too much oversharing from that guy.

You get the impression that the employees have really poor boundaries and they can sort of game the rooms out so they can use them when they aren't occupied. It isn't that it's a 4/20 friendly property, it's that they have a large population of employees who are hanging out all the time and very few work at once. You can't really tell who's a guest and who's working.

The cottage itself was just ok. I wouldn't call it immaculate - the floors were filthy and you will want to keep your flip flops on inside. There's a constant sound of traffic from the road and it shakes infrastructure in ways that have a constantly noisy ambiance.

For what they're charging for rooms this is more like an overpriced hostel with a great location. Really, great location - everything else needs a reality check.

Oh, breakfast was pretty good. Not good enough to justify that price, but...

I had reserved a cottage with outdoor hot tub in March 2020 for Britt Floyd Red Rocks june 11/2020. Then covid hit. Then the postponement of show for 1 year. I called Cliff house to change my reservation. They couldn't book that far out, so I waited months to call back and rebook. I did as soon as booking was possible. Got same accommodation but now for TWO nights. Than several weeks to day of show it was rescheduled from june 11 to july 29. So I emailed Cliffhouse & was able to move my reservation to new concert date. They called a few days later to say someone took a reservation and didnt record it. So it was double booked and we we screwed. We were heart broken our trip of a lifetime was no more. Then the Cliff called and said they DID have a cottage free that date. Another cottage. My husband specifically asked if it had a hot tub, woman at cliffhouse said yes. We had no issues with changing. So We get here( finally) and are asked to wait because the room was not cleaned yet. Ok, went to Denver & came back. We were given our "cottage". The honeymoon cottage was a part of another building divided into "cottages. We walked in and I immediately smelled a very musty room. The cottage was a bed/whirlpool bath room. The bath was small and we were told this was our hot tub. It had cigarette burns and was stained or dirty on bottom. Back patio was knee high weeds and nasty patio chairs. We were going to try to make best of it but then toilet didn't flush. I had seen enough, my long dreamed of trip was ruined, staying would make it worse. I could have overlooked all of this if I would have been in a cottage with the outdoor hot tub. My husband went to talk to hotel management. He came back and said they admitted that the reservation was messed up and would refund all but $100. Fine, but there was no fixing my shattered dream. We got a suite for less money at Marriott. It was no ones fault, but I will probably not be back. It was a lovely and unique place. I'm sure I would...

I have been here many times before over the years and was always so happy with my stay. My most recent stay was on the night of May 31st 2018. Stayed one night in the Dino Den. The condition of the room was deplorable. The dust and dirt and dead bugs around made it look like it had not been cleaned in months. The website was extremely misleading. Said there was a walk in shower, there is not. Your whole bathroom is the shower so when you do, everything gets wet and it's full of mold. The hot tub was extremely old. Said it had been cleaned but there was a huge cluster of dirt piled at the bottom. I have taken pictures of everything and will be taking legal action against this facility. I can not describe how upset I am with this last stay. I am knowledgeable now after staying to the fact that the management has changed and they are desperately trying to catch up. My suggestion is to close down and renovate and get things together instead of making your current guests suffer in your run down, disgusting rooms. I even attempted to switch rooms while there, approached the only staff member on the property. He had no idea what was going on, did not know who to call, how to help. He showed us a worse room, which looked more run down and disgusting. We stayed because I had already paid. That's how they get you. Do not stay here until they have completed their renovations. I even attempted to speak with someone when I was leaving. No one was at the desk, a ton of people were running around, barefoot, intoxicated out of their minds, couldn't tell who was a worker or guest. I had to just leave my keys on the desk after waiting and calling for a good 10, 15 minutes. Again, I personally will be taking legal action if I do not...

One of the quirkiest places I’ve ever stayed at. Cliffhouse Lodge is in the heart of Morrison, CO near Red Rocks Amphitheater. Each room has its own private outdoor hot tub. The Camelot has its own indoor two person jacuzzi tub. Breakfast every morning, made to order. The perfect place to relax and unwind. #redrocks #morrison #downtown #lodge #cliffhouse #datenight #tour #hotel #couples #camelot #fyp #travel

Oh where to begin. The only worker we saw was stoned out of his mind and took us to the "honeymoon" suite. Every corner was filled with spiders and bugs. We killed a wasp within five minutes which got in through the large crack under the door. My wife commented where it died was its final resting place since the place hadn't been cleaned in years. The AC unit smelled of mildew and i cleaned the filter in the "hot tub" which improved its cleanliness. LISTEN TO THE OTHER REVIEWERS. This place went into a steep dive, hit rock bottom, and now begun to dig. The grass was overgrown and not mowed yet. Our private patio should be condemned. The bathroom was hot since the heat was on and it was 95 degrees out. Our concert was over shortly, we loved Red Rocks, so we came back to more bugs and spiders. We fled to Colorado Springs to get a jump on our next drive. It is an expansive property and could easily be turned into something nice but NEVER GO HERE. It is better to sleep outdoors since you are able to better prepare. Nothing prepares you for this dump so don't go and find out for yourself. Oh, the cherry on top was that it wasn't a cherry but a dried piece of gum placed under the door to the bathroom.

We enjoyed our city escape to the Cliff House. We reserved the Camelot Cottage, which was filled with furnishings reminiscent of the period. Thought the rate was fair, but honestly they could fetch even more with a few upgrades or a re-fresh of some of the exposed wood flooring/steps, carpeting or the drafty windows - but it did lend to it's charm and we were delighted with our stay. The hot tub was awesome and our space was very quiet. Everyone we encountered was nice and courteous. I had forgotten to place our breakfast request the night before - but they accodated us anyway. It had snowed several inches overnight, so getting out of their parking area was a little dicey...perhaps having a few snow shovels available would be helpful. But overall - a fun and unique place to stay with it's over 100 year history...and in close proximity to several eateries, bars and Red Rocks
