Found a heavily used vintage Coach bag today with a security tag on it and tj maxx sale tag priced at $39.99. There is no way this is a tj maxx item. It’s heavily used and the “vintage” tag is clearly a fake. I asked the manager about this and she replied “yes this is someone’s bag; maybe they returned it and this is not the original item matching the receipt” I then asked her why it was on the sales floor priced for $39.99. And what she was going to do about it. I wanted the bag because it’s a vintage coach bag anyone with common sense would want to snag this deal too. However you can see that’s it’s got at least 2 years of wear of tear makeup pen stains. Crumbs in the pockets. So why is it marked for sale?? Mind you, they were going to throw it away if I didn’t buy it. So what’s the difference in throwing it in the trash over giving it away? You think she would just let me have it since I found it and there was nothing in it with any evidence that someone was coming back for it. No!! All she could offer me was “the first discount” of 8 bucks. And sold it to me for $32.00… I could be corporate I could be a secret shopper. They don’t know. But to sell me a HEAVILY USED designer bag with a fake tag claiming to be a vintage replica which has food crumbs, hair, makeup residue and pen stains, smells like smoke; because it’s suppose to mock “vintage”, vintage doesn’t mean dirty!!!! Tj maxx you over charged me for what was lost and found. Horrible experience. I called corporate and they didn’t offer anything to reconcile this situation....
Read morethis store is great so if you want to buy cheap stuff then yes but DO NOT visit this location.
Yesterday around 7 pm I took my children with me to try on some clothing. As we were changing, a horrendous smell wafted up. I immediately wanted to vomit, and had to step out as my chronic migraines began to flare up (before this store it had been 6 months since I suffered from these). We felt a wet substance that stank all over the brand new clothes we had on the ground, and my child's favorite pair of shorts. Now my child has a severe rash where the grotesque substance touched her body.
I thought the nightmare was over but it was not. My infant was covered in the foul smelling liquid, leaving her with rashes and screaming all night. My children have been crying ever since, unable to get the smell out of their noses. it doesn't help that we have now thrown our clothes away due to the horrific scent. We could not stand them in the house. Later my children began to vomit so I had to stay up all night with them despite my chronic migraines having been triggered again, and wracking my body.
I will not be able to return to this location out of fear for my life. I demand compensation for the horrendous experience.
(edit) and I see now that I am not the only one to have experienced this yesterday. to the two people below me,...
Read moreTLDR; don’t let them bully you into applying for credit cards lol
I love TJ Maxx- however, this particular location has recently made me feel uncomfortable on two occasions. One of the associates tending the dressing room was quite rude when I approached with my three items- I understand though that working retail can genuinely drain you mentally so I hope she is doing okay.
The biggest reason for my review is the cashier that very aggressively bombarded my friend and I about the store credit card. She asked my friend if she had the credit card to which she responded “no”. She told the cashier she was not interested, however the cashier was NOT taking no for an answer. She began speaking so frantically as if her life literally depended on getting us to apply for the credit card. It made my friend visibly uncomfortable and she wouldn’t stop pushing it on her. After watching them go back and forth, I stepped in and told her sternly that my friend is not interested and we would just like to pay and go home. The cashier then gave us a good amount of attitude and was curt with us making the situation even more uncomfortable.
ALSO, the lack of Men’s clothing is offensive lol- I think my dog has more options than...
