I heard about Feng Cha from a few friends and finally made the drive out here from Chapel Hill. It is about 25 minutes out on a good day.
The price here is normal for a boba shop. It probably averages to 6.50 for your boba if you want to add toppings and all of that.
The boba is the type I prefer- chewy center and warm. Though I wish the outside of the boba ball was more solid, it was a bit soft. But the texture was great in the drink.
I had the taro milk tea, and a mango breeze. On another occasion was the Dirty Boba and another mango breeze with crystal boba. The sweetness level I got the first time was 50% and it was a bit too sweet for my taste. The cashier did mentioned that their drinks are on the sweeter side. But I went with 30% the next time and it was enough for me.
Also the difference between the breeze and the milk tea is that the breeze is more of a frosty with some frothy texture. The breeze also comes with a sea salt foam that you could ask to remove if you want.
The ambiance of the place was good, menus are clean and there seems to be board games. Thereās a number of sofa chairs and high chair with tables accompanying them.
They had wifi and some music playing, you could probably work here if you can handle the music!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a loyal customer, Iām officially done. Iāve had multiple issues during night visits, but this last experience was the final straw. Last Tuesday, my boyfriend and I ordered a Dirty Boba. After waiting five minutes, a staff member told us they were out of almond milk and asked if we wanted whole milk instead.. we agreed. Fifteen minutes later, I asked for an update. The girl at the register laughed with another employee, saying they think they gave our drink to someone else. Then weāre told theyāre now out of boba and canāt make the drink at all. She offered to āmake us a drink for freeā ā even though weād already paid ā so we just asked for a refund and left.
I came back today to speak with a manager, and instead of accountability, I got excuses. He admitted this kind of thing happens often and blamed it on the staff ājoking aroundā because theyāre all friends. No solution, no apology.
If multiple customers feel mocked or ignored, maybe itās time to rethink how your team is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFrom a drink perspective, the prices are normal compared to other boba shops. The first time I went here I got the watermelon summer drink, and loved it.
Im writing this because the second time I came here I got the citrus drink, which lacked some flavor but I still enjoyed it. The reason im giving 3 stars is because of the customer service. I came at around 7 on a Saturday, it was mildly busy but when I stepped up to the register the casher didnāt give me a greeting, barely looked up and me and was texting someone on her phone. While I was giving my order she rudely told me theyāre out of boba, which I understand because of the time I came at but I wasnāt told of any alternatives.
Considering the nice area, it being a new shop and the cute ambiance I had higher expectations. I would come back but it definitely wouldnāt be my first choice, I understand being done/tired from work but it wasnāt close...
