I’m not exactly a customer. I found 2 diamond rings in a storage unit. I just wanted to know their worth. That’s all. The person who answered the phone was in a terrible mood. I asked him about an appraisal, and condescendingly said “Forrrrr” I told him I’d had found them in a storage and just wanted to see what they were worth. He said an appraisal for insurance was $100. I said I didn’t want it for insurance. He started raising his voice and said “It sounds like you want something done and not pay for it” No that’s not it either. He never gave a price for JUST an appraisal. I was confused because I had just come from a jeweler that did not ask for payment when i offered. Admittedly I had some pretty sharp comments for him and hung up. Sir, I was not asking for anything free. I’ve never owned any jewelry that I would need an appraisal. I didn’t not understand what exactly what you were saying. I totally would have gladly paid for an appraisal. But you insulted me before i could even ask about it. You do not know me and I’ve never wanted something for nothing. I’m out of my league about jewelry, so that’s why I asked for your asst, a jeweler. You were rude and nasty from the start. I apologize for my language at the end of our call. I was insulted and floored at...
Read moreI took an expensive Rolex watch to this store to have the crystal replaced. After three months, I returned having still not received the watch. I was told the repair man was having a difficult time locating a crystal even though this is a very common Rolex. I waited another three months, still no word. When I returned to the store, I was informed the watch had been stolen from the post office. When I inquired at the post office concerning this, they verified a package was stolen, but couldn’t verify any contents. I was also told by the post office the watch was en route to the repairman, so the owner had possession of the watch for six months before ever sending it off, if he even sent it off for repair. Why would you send a $7500 watch to be repaired and ensure it for only $100 dollars. I think he sold the watch and kept the money. Received a judgment against him for $4500 that he has yet to pay. Do not do business with this man he’s dishonest, not the slightest bit apologetic, if anything, he was a jerk about the...
Read moreHad my diamond of 36 years reset due to a missing prong. Took a month to receive my new setting, which 2 weeks later I noticed 2 prongs broken, so I returned and was treated as if i had done something to break the prongs on the setting. Again over a month later I received my ring back and in less than a week the diamond had fallen out and is lost forever. When I went back with a setting and no diamond I was yelled at and berated. I had the original appraisal, so I know exactly the cut, clarity and carat of the original stone. He would not give me any information on the replacement stone or a current appraisal on the “new” ring. I have gone to a more reputable jeweler and I’m waiting on the appraisal. If the diamond is not the same value or better, I will be taking this matter to litigation. Do yourself a BIG favor and find a better human being and jeweler...
