I recently visited this establishment and wanted to share my experience. We arrived on a Saturday night around 8 o'clock. Despite there being plenty of staff working and at least 20 empty tables, it still took approximately 30 minutes to be seated and receive water, which was quite time-consuming. We ordered boneless wings that appeared to be frozen, pre-made, and were so small that the six of them wouldn’t have fed a five-year-old. For $10.99, this was not a good value, especially considering that celery or carrots would cost an additional $2, and any dipping sauce like ranch or blue cheese was an extra 60 cents. It was frustrating to deal with all of these additional charges on top of the small portion size.
Additionally, we ordered a wood-fired pizza on a gluten-free crust. While the pepperoni and cheese were delicious, the crust was only just starting to get crispy on the outside, and the inside was still a little doughy, which made for a disappointing pizza overall. The lack of proper crust texture definitely impacted the experience.
I also didn’t see anyone drinking what appeared to be the brewery’s beer. Every person I looked around at had a national brand beer from a bottle, which made me feel like it wasn’t even worth trying to figure out what they had on tap.
There was also a lack of clarity with the menu options for the brewery’s beers. There was no visible menu board, and the QR code provided wasn’t something we preferred to use.
I also couldn’t help but notice the condescending comments from management in other reviews. It’s concerning to see such an attitude towards customers who share their honest feedback, and it left a bad impression.
Overall, I was disappointed with the quality of the food, especially considering the prices we paid that evening. The experience did not meet our expectations, and we left feeling quite dissatisfied. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for future...
Read moreI would have given this place a negative two if it were possible. we went there on 6/05/2025 about 5:30 pm. I knew the second the waitress before taken our order brought out two of the cheapest of the cheap paper plates we were in trouble. This is standard pub food that is TERRIBLE. My husband got two different types of wings and beer battered fries. The fries were very soggy and salty. The boneless chicken wings tasted like they were frozen and deep fried. I got the chicken filly, and the beer battered onion rings. The onion rings tasted like they came from a frozen bag and then added a lot of salt to them, and they were semi burnt. The chicken Philly was not full of chicken but loaded with I don't know what kind of imitation sauce. It was AWFUL. My husband ordered a gin and tonic and they had the nerve to charge extra for the tonic water that goes in the gin to make a gin and tonic. They also charged extra for blue cheese dressing and the ranch dressing to go with the wings and more importantly we have never ever seen such watery dressings. Not thick at all. Same goes for my ranch dressing that I got to go with my onion rings. Dollar Tree has way better silverware than the Angry Troll. They server your food on something plastic and you use the cheapest paper plates we've ever seen to "share or eat your food off of". The service was fine. If your worried about them having tv they have got you covered as they have about 20. The bill came to $80. and change plus a $20.00 tip. For $ 100.00 dollars you could have gone to a cheaper restaurant and got WAY BETTER FOOD. There was a big hype when this restaurant first came to Mt. Airy and I seriously think they will not last. We would not recommend them, nor would we ever...
Read moreMy wife and I went there for the first time. So I post this, knowing that they are newly opened. We waited one hour and twenty-five minutes for our food to come to us.The beer batter fries that we ordered as an appetizer came out with our entrees, cold and soft.My wife ordered the Greek salad It did not have any black olives or banana peppers on it. She ordered it to have chicken. The chicken came out coated in hot sauce. I ordered the Godfather, my chicken breast. On that $14. sandwich was so dry. I could barely take a bite without drinking half of my beer. The mozzarella cheese sticks that were on the sandwich. As you can see, in the picture where I've taken a bite, we're cold and completely solid in the middle. They were not melty at all.. The bacon had obviously been cooked the day before or that morning and placed into a cooler without being dried off of grease properly because it had white congealed grease on the 2 bacon strips.. My wife and I love the Elkin destination and hope that somebody holds the mount airy destination up to the same standards, but it will be a while before we come back. It was very...
