I love the sac, I have used it 5-7 days a week for the entire time it was available to me as an undergrad and graduate student. I have been using it since 2017. I used the weight center, the weightlifting room, and the spa very often. I come to the spa to relax, and I usually am able to do that. However, over the past year, it has become less relaxing and more of an annoyance. After talking with other members, including community members who pay out of pocket and not in their tuition to use the facilities, they have agreed upon that. Sadly, when I come to the spa to relax, it is not uncommon to having to deal with being splashed by children who are and are not accompanied by adults while in the spa. For some reason, the lifeguards just seem to let it happen. Children come in the spa and swim laps back and forth underwater and jump into the water when the rules say not to. They also purposely splash, which is extremely annoying and rude to others using the spa who are getting splashed and came to the spa to relax. One time when I asked them to stop, a father got in my face yelling ready to splash me in the face with water and told his children “don’t let him (me) take your splashing rights from you (his children)”. It was my understanding children needed to be accompanied by an adult the entire time they are in the hottub and I assume splashing purposely and swimming laps in the hottub is not what the spa is for. Hopefully things change soon, because members are pretty fed up and annoyed with the way children (and some adults) behave in the hottub. In my opinion and others who I have talked to, if the children would like to splash, they can find a spot in the wide open pool or go to the nearby water park, because the spa is meant for adults to come to relax in. Maybe I am wrong, but if I am not, hopefully things...
Read moreThe hours are all over the place and the parking lot is often closed to students for events… Students who pay a lot to park here. No reason why we shouldn’t be able to park in our own damn lot, because of some stupid event that no one’s even attending. On the bright side, the pool is nice and clean. Some of the machines and free weight equipment is out of service. We miss the sauna too- I know it’s hard w/Covid requirements, but they could let people make appointments to use it. We’re still...
Read moreIts still a cool place don't get me wrong but it gets very irritating when I try to use things like the weight rooms or pools just for someone to be hosting a "class" and just kick me out whenever they want as a student who is actually paying for it so some little kids or old people can have a "class". Like it is literally a college campus why are there so...
