This was the absolute worse experience I’ve had at a Verizon store.
We were sent to this store by the other Verizon store in town on Pickard because their system was having issues and they thought the corporate store on mission could help. The Pickard store is an authorized retailer, NOT corporate.
So we go to the corporate store on mission the following day. Finally, after 30 minutes of listening to the office phone ring repeatedly unanswered, only to watch what I assume was another employee walk out of the back room in street clothes. We were helped. I don’t remember the name of the gentlemen (heavy set, tall, curly hair, beard, larger facial features) who helped us, but I do know he lied to us.
He told us the IPhone 8 my friend just paid off and unlocked could never work on the Verizon network and that the only way he could help us was if we purchased new phones. This was a complete lie and attempt to SCAM us into purchasing devices we did not want or need. We knew we were being lied to as we had emails from T-Mobile and the previous day we had seen the phone TELL US it was unlocked when we attempted to start our account at the other Verizon store (the authorized retailer NOT corporate).
He did not listen to us when we told him the process, and said the SIM card made no difference. Well, it literally made all the difference. We knew at this point we were being lied to. We took our devices and immediately went to the Verizon store on Pickard (the authorized retailer) where the manager there was happy to help us as their system was working properly. He was able to get our account started and activate both of our IPhones onto the Verizon network.
If you have Verizon and need quality service do NOT go to this store. You will be scammed into spending money you don’t have too. This upsets me as they are close to the campus and could be scamming countless students!
I do have to add, the manager at the Verizon store on Pickard was very friendly and for all of our troubles he waved the activation fee for us! Actually SAVING us money.
I want to take the iPhone back to the corporate store on mission and rub it in the gentlemen’s face who told me the phone could never be on Verizon’s network, but I’m not that petty. I’ll just write a lengthy review about it! Hahahahhaha....
Read moreNothing but problems and raised bills. I am a small business owner trying to switch service providers. After over 6 years of problems with verizon. My account is paid off, and closed, yet they still have one of my main business lines locked and unable to transfer to my new service provider. I have spent hrs on the phone and stood in verizon store to get this resolved. Nobody is willing to unlock my phone or provide me with a working phone to keep my business running even after they admit verizon is at fault. My business has been without one of its main lines for a week already and Nobody has any answers. Verizon is the worst company I have ever had to deal with for customer support. They have a terrible system that can't keep anything straight. Mt business has suffered directly from verizon being unable to do their jobs. Small businesses should try every other phone company first before...
Read moreWorst customer service ever. My phones are paid off, yet they refuse to release my phone to my new carrier. Horrible experience for over 6 years. It has been 6 years of raising my bill and problems on every level. They can't keep anything straight and no matter how long you sit in line or at a verizon store you leave with more problems than you entered with. Nobody is willing to help resolve anything even after admitting it it verizons fault. They just say that's weird and I can't help you. Worst company to start a buisness account. My business has suffered from verizon and they do nothing but claim to be helpless to fix the situation. I would highly recommend trying every other phone company before start a nightmare account...
