EDIT: I still havenāt gotten a phone call as said and also my hair is now fading color and turning brassy even tho I bought that $50 shampoo and conditioner that she said wouldnāt fade the color. Iām not trying to be rude but I feel stuck because now Iām really not happy with my hair and my father paid for most of it and I feel horrible if I have to redo it. He paid for it thinking it would stay because it was done professionally.
I went to this salon last Saturday and I wanted to leave an honest review because my opinion should be heard. I called last week Wednesday to make an appointment and talked to a male receptionist about my current hair situation. He totally understood my issue and I asked him for an estimated cost. He told me $70 to MAYBE $80 he also told me they charge $70 an hour but told me it shouldnāt take more than an hour. So with that I trusted it and went in. I had the stylist Rosa and she was very sweet and friendly but near the end she got very pushy with getting me to buy things. I have an anxiety disorder so everytime she talked me into it I felt nauseous because even when I said no she didnāt take it for an answer. I understand retailing things and getting possible commission but my goodness it just seemed sorta fake. An hour through my hair dying process I got very nervous because of the price. Iām in no way rich so I wasnāt sure what to expect. Might I add, I got my hair dyed light brown and it was already bleached by another salon 3 months prior so all she did was dye it brown. thatās it....and it took 2 hours. I understand things like this take time but it seemed to me like she was stalling to make it longer. So anyways, on the end they charged me $140 plus my anxiety made me end up getting $50 of shampoo and conditioner that she kept pushing on me. My dad is ever so kind and payed the $140 for me but I paid the $50 so all together $200???? Iām sorry but it seemed like I got kind of scammed. I had no NO warning about that price. Everyone who worked there was very sweet and maybe I donāt understand the hustle...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBrooke is awesome with listening to you with what you're looking to do with your hair & she also asks questions & makes suggestions. I was having a cut/color highlight with 2 colors & boy did we cut it & I had to let her know which color on the spectrum interacts with my medications & turns another color so she was glad that I knew that! She was happy to work with 'virgin hair' after we cut it & it turned out so beautiful! Plus the entire time, she is so sociable with you & is always offering you something to drink, etc! And the staff is just as friendly & kind! She is just a sweetheart & she does excellent work! I would recommend her to anyone that I know! Thanks Brooke for the great experience & beautiful hair cut, undercut & colors! I absolutely love how it turned out! I can't forget to say how clean the salon is as is each stylists station! We came a bit early & it wasn't a problem (and Brooke was actually finishing up with her previous client & I was able to get in a bit early; even after her cleaning up!) It's such a laid back vibe, you enjoy yourself & the staff are just as welcoming & great to talk with as your own Stylist. (I was a later appt & they were getting ready to leave, but came to talk to me when my hair color was processing so Brooke could run out of the room for a minute)! Great music that's not too loud & everything is all around professional too! Definitely going back! Ohhhh & Brooke is sooo knowledgeable about products for your hair & the products she purchases for the salon, may be a bit pricey, but worth it! (My hairspray is a 3-in-1! It's a heat protectant, a hair spray & a setting spray for your face! And it smells so good! And she's all about natural products & knows ones that are expensive, but are 'water based'; who would've guessed that?!? So she's a great one to ask about any product for! Plus the best thing is that you use so much less that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI thought about leaving this review for a long time because this is the salon I have been going to for years but I will no longer be coming back. On 12/27 I came to the salon to get my hair done. A partial highlight which took way too long in my opinion, I have maybe 20% of my hair blonde. Just a money piece in the front that goes to my ears. My real issue is my stylist tried overcharging me and when she washed my hair, she completely drenched the back of my shirt and when i mentioned it, she completely dismissed me. I asked for discount on my service since my shirt was drenched. The stylist and the front desk look at what i got done and i hear the front desk lady say " you have her for a full highlight when it should be a Partial" they change it, i pay, i ask for receipt, i leave. Well to my suprise i look down at the receipt when im home and it says i got a haircut which I did not. I call the salon and I tell them I was charged for a haircut, they refund me my money, and i pay for the correct amount over the phone. But I truly believe the stylist overcharged me on purpose because, I did mention that my husband bought me a couple of luxury items for Christmas and my birthday while I was getting my hair done. I was there for hours so I casually mentioned the gifts. I dont appreciate being targeted or taken advantage of. I go to the cutting edge because it's a nice salon but now it has me questioning if I have been overcharged before and never noticed? If I hadn't complained about my shirt, I would have been completely overcharged and I would have never known .This just isn't a salon I trust anymore due to my experience and I urge people to look at...
