Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Mount Pleasant

Went here yesterday to order a blizzard and the person taking my order barely spoke English. I believe she’s the owner. It took 5 minutes for her to take my order and that’s ridiculous because I only ordered ONE THING! If she couldn’t understand fluently English she could’ve easily let one of the other two English speaking Americans assist. She rang my blizzard up wrong! I ordered a cotton candy blizzard and she kept saying candy, it was so annoying. After I paid she said candy cane and I said no COTTON CANDY. The young girl finally turned around and said “We don’t have cotton candy.” She was standing there the entire time and she could’ve chimed in at any time after I asked for COTTON CANDY! I picked the red velvet and it was so disgusting. It was just soft serve and cake, no cream. It tasted like it was missing some ingredients and it was. I hate wasting my money on nothing! It was my first time trying that blizzard and I’m never eating that again! I used to eat at this location at least once a week back in 2021 and the experience was much better then. I don't myself own a vehicle, which luckily wasn't an issue at the Racine Wisconsin Dairy Queen. The lobby isn't open (which is okay!) but thankfully I was able to place my order through the drive thru! Yay! The other guests were respectful of my space while at the drive thru, which was very appreciated! Placing the order was easy and simple, and the employees were respectful! When I received the meal I was pleasantly surprised to find that two cars ahead of me actually covered my meal for me! Amazing! Stuff like this never happens to me but I was wonderfully surprised and delighted! I had the brownie treat, which was perfect as always! Then the next day I went to the drive thru for a salad and again the team didn't disappoint! Salad was delicious and nutritious! Better than I could've imagined! Towards the end of the transaction I was greeted by a young woman who was very nice and complimented my Dunder Mifflin cloth mask, so kind of her! Walk in , it's super busy (normal for dinner time) All trash cans over filled to the top garbage all over the floor, 1 clean table (probably not) took a seat started looking around it's just completely trashed,, started re thinking my dinner plans was a mistake, who wants to sit eat by things from the last customer.

The price of the food is whatever but the fact that it kinda really sucked, sucked for the price we paid, at least make sure you're serving good food for the price of it , I get it places get busy which should result into fresh food but it didn't happen, anyways what really threw off the whole visit was the lady with the cane and the head set walking around in open toed slip on shoes with no socks, I'm sorry that's disgusting wish I snapped the picture but I didn't want someone else's toes in my pictures besides my own. I hope yall get that lady the proper shoes to wear while behind the counter!
