We travelled to this store from Shreveport, LA because they had the flooring we wanted in the quantities we needed.
The ladies in the flooring department and the cashier were very friendly, professional, and helpful.
Once the two guys finally made it to load us, they were friendly and helpful. The problem was getting them there. We waited almost 15 minutes for help with loading before I asked the cashier what was the holdup and she said the guys were loading something at the returns counter. But when I saw them barely one minute later, they were standing in the middle of the isle visiting. Next I saw them five minutes later standing ten feet from the forklift laughing and visiting with another employee. They even damaged a box of flooring with the forklift because they weren't paying attention to what they were doing. I had even told him he was too high with the forks before he pushed it into my trailer. When he heard the crack, he step po ed into the trailer to look. He told me nothing was damaged...that was a lie that I would not discover until I got the load home and pulled out the individual boxes and found that one complete box of flooring was destroyed.
They were called three times by the cashier, and once by another lady when they finally decided to quit visiting with the other employees and get back to work. Had they taken the job seriously, we would not have had to wait so long for them to do their jobs and nothing would have been broken.
Such a shame two employees made our trip such a frustrating and unpleasant one. Management needs to get on the ball...
Read moreWe spent a couple hundred dollars there today and part of that was for 20 bags of compost, 4 mulch and 6 top soil. 30 40lb bags in all. First issue we had was finding someone to help us load everything. Cashier called him twice and we could see him across the garden center ignoring the call. We loaded everything our selves bc we didn't have time to wait. Got home and realized the cashier charged us for 30bags of compost when we only wanted 20. When I called the store they said bc we loaded it ourselves they couldn't prove we didn't get 30. I became a bit angry bc I was basically called a liar and thief. I explained how the cashier misunderstood how we were trying to get the bulk discount and apparently their signs for it were misleading. They agreed to let us get the other 10 bags we were charged for since they couldn't refund us the difference. I asked if we could please have help loading this time and they said yes just come to the customer service desk. Yet again no one answered the cashier's calls so we went around back and loaded it ourselves. While loading, there was a man in a Home Depot apron watching us from inside the garden center. Not once did he say a word to us but he got on his phone with a big grin as we got into our car to leave. He looked at our license plate and was reading it to the person on the phone. I have never been so angry and insulted before. The whole way home I was expecting a sheriff's deputy to pull me over. I will be taking all my business elsewhere and I recommend anyone else...
Read moreWould leave no stars but can't do that. Needed a shop vac to get up flood water. Called Home Depot, asked if they had a certain shop vac in stock. First of all, if you are going to have people to answer the phone, put someone on that can speak English! Any way the guy told us they didn't have the 16 gallon shop vac by Ridgid but they had a 16 gallon Ridgid for $129. When I get there, there is no Ridgid for $129 but the one I was looking at online for $159. I had my 8 yr old grandson with me, who helped me carry it to the front to check out because every employee acted as if you we were not there. Lord forbid, they have to do any work. Before checking out, I asked the lady at the self-check, they don't want to work but don't trust you, about the piece inside for water suction. Then she proceeded to tell me it can be used on wet or dry...Duh... this is where I really wanted to say a few words that my grandson didn't need to hear his grandmother say. after I checked out, I calmly turn to the woman and told her I was going to get my vehicle and they could load it up. When I pull up, they brought it out to put it inside and I told them to put it the back end. Then the woman said, "It's going to get wet." Duh...It's not staying in the box! Get people who want to work, want to help others, earn their pay. That's whats wrong with...
