when i was ordering, i asked for a number 1 plain. the lady asked if i wanted mustard on it and i said “oh no just meat and cheese” and she said “okay so plain and dry” and put the order in. when i got my burger, it was just meat and a bun. i was too shy to go back and ask for cheese so my mom went to ask. i could hear all the way from the table i was sitting at to the front counter the lady say “she didn’t say she wanted cheese on it” with an attitude. as someone who has worked AND managed in customer service, i know for a hard fact that’s not the response you give to a customer at all.
and you’d think she’d just say “oh sorry about that i must have misunderstood! we’ll get that remade for you!” no.. instead she handed my mom a wrapped up piece of cold cheese to put on my burger. a sweet employee who witnessed what happened came over and so did the rude lady. she asked the rude lady if she could remake the burger fresh and the lady goes “i cant but THEY can” talking about the kitchen staff. the sweet employee went and asked them to make me a fresh burger and the rude lady took the burger with the cold cheese off the table and threw it in the trash...
Read moreThis location is very well managed and organized. I was greeted by 3 employees as I walked in within 15 seconds. Attentive, positive, and smiling employees and it shows within the lobby through cleanliness, well stocked tables, drink area, ext. The bathrooms are very clean as well. I was short maybe .40 and only had a debit card. The manager who was also ringing me up was more than happy to help cover it for me with no question and a smile. Needless to say I was very impressed with every aspect you could think of here. And they were even busy but my food was out within 5 minutes hot and fresh. If I'm ever back in Mt Pleasant I will be stopping here again for sure with my money in hand.
Another note they have nice wooden chairs on a patio for customers to enjoy the nice weather. A good plus and adds character that stands out.
EDIT: Stopped here a month later for the second time and still just as impressed as the first time! 5 star customer service and greeted multiple times immediately. Looking forward to my third stop I reccommend you...
Read moreWent to the Mount Pleasant, TX Whataburger to pick up my online order. When I got home (30 minutes away, an hour round trip), I discovered two meals were missing.
I immediately called the location and spoke to the manager. She told me I could drive back to have them remade. I explained that I wasn’t going to spend another hour on the road for their mistake and simply asked for a refund. She replied that it was “not company policy” to issue refunds and instead offered for me to come back tomorrow to get the missing food.
I told her I don’t come to Mount Pleasant often and would not be able to come back tomorrow. She then offered to extend the remake for a week, and later even said she could ask her district manager to extend it for two weeks. None of this fixes the fact that I paid for two meals I did not receive.
This is absolutely unacceptable. Refusing to refund customers when an order is incomplete is stealing. I paid for food and did not get it. Whataburger...
