Not only an extraordinarily unique flavor journey… Great atmosphere for connecting with friends and making new friends… As well as experiencing flavors you can only get if you travel to Spain. I have met up with so many different groups of friends here and recommended the Clandestino to friends and clients… I’m only embarrassed I haven’t written a review sooner! It’s such a cool gem in Mount Shasta Snow… I’m so grateful that Nicolas and his wife moved here and opened this unique wonderful place!!! Go! Eat drink, and make merry!! Great for gathering with friends…, sometimes those even live flamenco guitar… or have a romantic game of cribbage with your sweetheart… The possibilities are endless!!

The Clandestino: Wine and Tapas, that’s what the sign said — it caught my attention. Really? A bit hesitant, I decided to step in and take a look. Spain has a special scent, something I hadn’t truly noticed until that day. That smell of a bar, of a slice of tortilla, mixed with cured meats and a good glass of wine. And suddenly, I was back home. There was Nicolás, welcoming me with open arms and instantly transporting me to Spain. I honestly hadn’t realized how much I missed Spanish food. But if there’s one thing I’ll never forget about this experience, it’s Nicolás’s hospitality — something truly unforgettable.

We came to Shasta for a birthday and stopped by at this amazing, quiet place to have a glass of wine. The gentleman who helped us gave us the greatest service we have had in a long time. Quite the friendlies conversation you will get in a place like this. They have delicious cheese, meats, and tapas. Great selection of Spanish wine and beer. I suggest the "Garnacha Nativa". Be sure to stop by and enjoy a glass of wine and great service.

Absolutely AMAZING experience at this magic spot, where time shared and enjoyed seems to melt as if a clock in a Dali painting! Lush and Deep Spanish wines paired with boards of crunchy almonds, rich cheeses, the finest acorn fed aged Iberico ham, thick, flavor packed smoked sausages and outrageous olives; a trip to Spain in Mt Shasta- expertly curated by Nicolas, authentically from Spain. Warm hospitality permeates from the proprietor, and olive oil from his own family's land in Spain is drizzled over fresh bread doused in tomato juice, the famous Spanish "Pan Con Tomate"- EXQUISITE! Flamenco music perfectly creates the atmosphere where you might feel that your group has great intuition and the courage to follow its instincts. Your experience includes being able to see behind masks; silent and fast moving; sharp visions of Spain appear. Perhaps you sense messengers of secrets and premonitions. Experience the link between the dark and invisible world and the world of light. This spectacular experience leads you to feel comfortable with shadow, the power of the moon, and freedom. And that last part is inspired by the label on a bottle of wine - imagine the decadent pleasure of feeling and tasting the warmth of Spain in real life - for yourselves! Among the highlights of our visit to Mt Shasta, and we highly recommend and encourage you to visit, experience, and enjoy The Clandestino in Mt Shasta. Ethereal, Authentic, Sophisticated, Refined, Elevated moments that when shared, become vivid memories that are cherished FOR LIFE! ...
