My van broke down here last week and they sold me a battery I might not have needed--it was an alternator problem. I did appreciate they installed the battery.
They were nice and helpful but their help ran out as quickly. They at least had one reference, but that guy was nice, but wasn't helpful either (Larry) as it wasn't my belt broken as he thought, but the alternator itself. It would be nice if the workers at this store knew a little more about cars, especially some tips on what to do if a new battery doesn't work...or trying to recharge the battery before declaring it fully dead. They were rather clueless except to sell me a battery.
I had a lot more success getting help and service form the auto store up the street, Baxter's. Wish I started there...
Read moreToday we stopped for gas in Mt Shasta on a road trip and were shocked the car wouldn't start. Thank goodness it was just a five minute walk to this O'Rileys! The young man who was working this afternoon saved our trip. Not only did help us diagnose the issue, luckily just a dead battery (which a recent oil change and inspection missed) he also gave a good sense of what to expect moving forward. Makes sense a new battery would reset some of the electric stuff but I'd never thought about how it could make the car a little more wobbly due to the electronic stabalization system rebooting. We followed his advice and turned the wheel all the way and now we're cruising with confidence. So...

I ordered the parts. But when I went to pick them up I was told "we can't match that price, because we can't compete with Amazon" and was then charged $17. More than the price quoted originally.
