3 Saturday's ago (mid Nov. 2018) I purchased a very nice $1300 recliner at Hanson's, all electric, massage, heat, lumbar and recline unit. Once I got it home and in place and powered up, I noticed the Lumbar would not stay in the position I would set it to, made a few different attempts to get it to work and problem persisted. On Sunday (the next day) I called and let the gentlemen who answered know about my problem, it seemed like he did not believe me as he said you probably are not using the remote properly a number of times, I assured him I was (and I was) after this he did agree to have the person (theirs or the person they use) that makes house calls call me and set up a time to come by the house and check it out. After 2 weeks of waiting for that call and of not using the chair I called again, this time the Woman I talked to did not know anything about my previous call or problem and could not see if I was due a fix it visit, however, did say she would have the person that does the home visit fix stuff guy call me and set up a time to come by …. again! Well that was a week ago. So after 3 weeks and $1300 for a high end chair that does not work properly I still have not received any calls or visits. The sales Woman that sold me the chair mentioned numerous times while I was looking at chairs that Hanson's "stands behind the items they sell" Well, I beg to differ, they do not! Glad I put it on my Credit Card as Will probably contact my bank and see about getting my money back!,,
Update- Jan 10th 2019 someone came to fix (I thought) the chair, no he looked at it for 5 minutes, then told me he would have to order the parts and that would take 4-6 weeks Update- JAN 21st he came back installed new parts, and guess what??? they did not work, he left and I do not know when he will be back. Stay tuned. Update, repair guy came total of 4 times and still did not repair my chair, I did contact my Bank and was pursuing a purchase dispute, much to my surprise I then received a call from Don the owner of Hanson's, he offered to let me come back to the store and choose a different chair, which I did, they delivered it and picked up the lemon chair around the end of May 2019. I now have a chair i'm satisfied with after 6...
Read moreBought very expensive couches a year ago and have had nothing but problems with one of them. We are pretty sure that one couch was broken by the delivery guys (they were moving the couch out, then suddenly stopped, and they spent a long time in the truck after that messing with the couch. One of the delivery guys stood so we couldn’t see what they were doing in their truck, and it took about a half hour before they proceeded with moving the couches into the house). Half of the couch looks like it is slanted while the other half looks normal. This is not what it looked like when we bought it in store. Hansens sent a guy to come fix it but he’s not reliable and you can never get ahold of him (and neither can the owner). After a year and a half of him coming back and forth it’s still not fixed even though he swears it is. Both Hansens and their repair guy have been rude with us during all interactions since receiving these couches. We will never buy from...
Read moreI purchased an electric lift chair for my disabled husband two years ago and on May 28,2024it quit working in an upright [position. So I tried to get it repaired going to the shop to get advise realizing it was a holiday weekend. expecting a call back as the owner said she would but finding very little assistance or hope without a lot of money just to get to my house. finally on the 30th I went back and they said they could not do anything about it it was too old. this is a chair that cost over 2000.00 when I bought it. Turned around and let them know I would never buy another piece of furniture from them ever, where downtown to Lyons furniture where they had a new shipment of lovely chairs for less than I paid for this chair a better fit for my husband as far as size and function as for less than I paid originally. Do not go to Hansens furniture Mount Vernon, they are a rip off and will be no...
