Not sure where all the ‘amazing’ reviews are coming from but this is some of the worst Mexican food we’ve ever had. The meat is bottom of the barrel and poorly seasoned, from the carne asada to the mushroom quesadillas to the burritos. We went three different times because we were convinced maybe we’d ordered the wrong thing, but no-go. My husband’s carne asada tonight was dry and literally without flavor, and everything vegetarian they offer is absolutely flavorless. Their food is so good! We stopped there today on our way to the San Juan Islands ferry for lunch and loved everything we tried. We had carnitas tacos, chicken tacos and asada tacos. All three were excellent and there were so many interesting things on their menu that we're eager to try next time. The folks there are lovely and kind and generous and they we're handling a huge crowd gracefully. The staff was very friendly, though the food was bland and I was missing 2+ ingredients in my burrito. My partner was dissatisfied as well as his food was also lacking flavour and texture. The atmosphere was clean, though the plants on the tabletops were dying and there was frustrated yelling coming from the owner in the back. Slow service for bland food was disappointing.
