You can never go wrong when you shop small town small business. I admire any one who is willing to take that risk to fulfill their dream. This is what you find at Main Street Mercantile. Heather has worked tirelessly to bring her dream to this point. I know she would not be where she's at now without all the help and shoulders to cry on from family and friends. Heather's mother, Melissa, daughter, Emily and Lori, owner of the Local Press coffee shop next door along with her staff along with building owner have been very supportive.

I've actually watched this start from a store front that badly needed completely remodeling from the floor up. Little by little finally this dream has turned into a reality. So why do I know all this? I'm a regular at the Local Press, along with a few friends we've watched this entire process grow from start to finish.

When you walk into Main Street Mercantile, you will be greeted like a like a long lost friend. What you find inside is unique and of the highest quality. Much of it hand made. I kept going back look for items for men. Heather promised there would stuff for men. There is a corner with some excellent one of a kind hand made leather items and other nice items. I've found several items for my wife and daughter.

I didn't grow up in Mount Washington, Kentucky, however, I've been adopted by many of the home town citizens through the years. This is why I support Main Street Mercantile and many other small town businesses. You will never find this kind of merchandise at the big box store.

Some people say, "Go big or go home." I say, "Shop small and keep it in your small town." Even if you walk into the Main Street Mercantile and don't make a purchase, I guarantee you will walk our with a smile on you face.
