I bought an oven and requested installation & removal. I explained in the store that the old one is a built in unit & would require more work than a slide in unit. Guess what installers arrived and took one look at it and said we can’t do that. Installers were great though & contacted geek squad, they sent pictures to them & explained the situation. Geek squad called me promptly & told me they rescheduled with the proper installation crew. The appointment was for a week & half later. When the installer called me & said he was on the way I asked if he knew what he was getting into. He replied yes installing a sub zero fridge/freezer unit. I told him that was incorrect & that he removing a built in oven unit & his instant reply was I can’t to that. I told he better call the office. The geeks called me, apologetic of course. Now I’m waiting another week, the new oven is literally sitting in my kitchen taking up space I received another installation appointment for June 12th & guess what, it says removing a built in fridge unit again!! I have list all faith in their customer service. If next week rolls around & this is not resolved I don’t know what I’m going to do. Long time customer but that’s probably coming to an end. Instead of getting assistance with the phone, I was very snobbily by the lady working the check-in counter whom told me that I would need to drop 199.99 to have the phone completely replaced. She then immediately follows this up with a stereotypical snobby teenager response of "Like, we told you about this, like when you first bought the phone last year?"
Walked out of the store and repaired it myself within 20 minutes of looking up a guide and using a blow dryer.
You know what Geek Squad, it wasn't the fact the phone replacement was so expensive... I was fine with that. It is the attitude of those you employ. And because of that individuals attitude for in-taking customers I will SERIOUSLY reconsider ever using Geek Squad services from Best Buy in the future. This experience has also led me to reconsider allowing you to charge me $7.99 x2 a month for a protection plan if this is the sort of lack luster and insulting service you deem appropriate to offer.
