I don't know who needs to hear this!!! But exceptional young gentleman Ricardo, last night rang me up at the register! He went above an beyond, several times, I saw him through the store working, back an fourth. I at least was there for about an hour an half!'I absolutely love this store. Organized well, better than most I have visited.... yet you don't have high expectations of Ollie's, because it's a Bargain basement, whatever they have at the time,you will more than likely find a deal. Although no lie their Tide is always high. I work at a retail store myself of 30 years! So pricing is my thing. Ollie's sends there little fliers out for the holidays, an the Customer preferred sale every year for Christmas is my favorite! Although before the 17th I got a special one in the mail for 15% off my entire purchase! OH I LOVE THAT!! BUT .... back to Ricardo, bright,personal, warm on a winter evening of like 12 degrees outside, hardly no one in the store,him manning the store,what mostly looked like a one man show. I was impressed by his grit, work ethic, an moral!!! Which I'm sure on a regular basis, he gives himself, for running a whole store, with which I'm sure were maybe 2 others! Very humble! We need more Ricardos' in this world, to also humble ourselves! What an exceptional young man, with a great drive! Reward your People #Ollie's, with more help in your stores, you may loose a few great ones in the process of saving a few dollars... Customer service is a must! It's your people that make the difference! Ā Ā Ā Read moreOllie's has so many various kinds of products from household to garden to personal to food to choose from that it is almost impossible to look in all the different departments in one shopping trip unless you spend several hours or more at the store. Their prices are so low and affordable that I would always shop Ollie's first for most all of my needs before I went anywhere else first. I found everything I went for and more that I will have to return to buy as I was getting low on money. And I will go back as I am moving and need more items for my new place and will certainly look for and buy them all at Ollie's if they have everything I will be looking for. The store is clean and well-stocked. I didn't see but 1 employee on the floor to be able to ask any questions which I was a bit disappointed in and did find 2 items that were broke or flawed that I wanted to ask a manager to see if the price could be adjusted as I would have still bought them if so but when I checked out and inquired as such no one was called over so I could ask and the person checking me out did not identify themself as a manager and told me the 1 item did not appear to have any price on it so would not sell it to me or attempt to ask anyone else about it and the other item which had a large piece out of the side of it she told me possibly a 20 per cent discount which I did not think that was a good enough discount so I did not buy it either. All because he went to the back door where the docks are located instead of the front door. After ignoring his request to drop off the package at the docks he went to the front entrance of the store where the manager said if he couldnāt figure out to go to the front door he must not be very intelligent. The size comparison of the ups driver compared to the manager that belittled him in front of several customers was a great difference. Hats off to the ups driver for keeping his composure. This was a clear cut case of little man syndrome to a guy in uniform that could not defend himself without losing his job. Keep up the good work ups man.
