pOpshelf — Local services in Murfreesboro

The store is a cool store, but I recommend going to the other Murfreesboro location. The staff here was very rude. My family was in there yesterday and was treated horribly by one of the associates. It was extremely hot yesterday and one of our kids felt like they might pass out so they went inside. They were there to grab some drinks and look for other items while in the store. The kids where feeling really bad so they grabbed some Gatorade and put it in the cart after taking a sip to not fall out from heat. An associate felt the need to treat them like criminals and followed them around the store, even after my wife told them the situation and the drinks where in the cart to be purchased. The associate also stared them down while they checked out with the drink and then followed behind them some ways back out of the store....

They have a lot of overpriced “stuff” for the most part. They do have drinks which is what I was looking for. I also picked up a pack of cards to play with the kids and a pair of earbuds (due to my pair that I bought 2 1/2 years ago at 5 Dollar General had stopped working.) I got home and pulled them out, they were cute and unobtrusive like most sets of earbuds. After charging 24+ hours, the right side did not work. I was going to return them in Decherd which is closer to my home but it must not have made it, I drove by there twice and they had the doors locked during their posted business hours. I didn’t bother taking them back to Murfreesboro, because that would mean I would spend more on gas than on the earbuds themselves. I probably won’t go...

I had no idea they had a store in The Avenue. I love Pop Shelf and was curious how it looked inside. This location is bigger and better than the one close to my house. Even though it was full of Black Friday shoppers it didn't feel crowded. I think the way the store is laid out and the lighting makes a huge difference in the shopping experience. This was my daughter's first time at a Pop Shelf store and she's in love with it.
