We (my wife and I) visited this store twice and my experience both times was mostly relaxing and self-paced. My lack of a 5th star for this review is simply because I felt I was more informed by reading the Sleep Number book which they have available in the store and doing some of my own online research versus what the salesman was telling us and how he was answering our questions.
My first “red flag” was when we laid on their demo P5 bed where they show you your actual pressure point graphic and help you “find your sleep number”; Immediately after the graphic first appeared and the bed was set to 100, the salesman said something about all the red possibly being related to an accident or some other body incident in the past that we may have experienced and went on to say he didn’t know for sure what could have happened to us in those areas... WHAT?! The graphic is simply a visual representation of where your body contacts the mattress most.
There were other situations where for example we were told the “foot warming feature” is available on any of their mattresses and they can customize them however we want. This was generally accurate, but what if we wanted to order just the mattress, which by the way we told him we already had a non-sleep number adjustable base we were considering using. Anyways, to elaborate, the foot warming feature is ONLY available if you order their Flexfit 3 Adjustable Base. I had to clarify this to my wife.
The salesman was not specifically aware of their True Temp sheets set having “37.5 technology”. At the time I asked, on our second visit and before ordering the bed and accessories, I wasn’t sure which sheet set included this but I remembered reading about it and further researching the “technology”. After going through all the sheets and reading the store displays we found it; this was noteworthy because I felt like it was a little bit of wasted time simply because he wasn’t completely knowledgeable of their products. It’s not like they have A LOT of variety.
Something else I initially found confusing when explained by the sales rep was which mattresses has memory foam and which didn’t and which had cooling gel... I was only able to get this information straight by, again, reading the Sleep Number book which essentially broke this info down between the three categories of their current offerings, the “C” series, “P” series, and the “i” series.
At some point the salesman made mention you could add an under bed light... the way this was mentioned seamed to my wife and I that it was a completely separate feature you could add, when in actuality it comes standard on any of their Flexfit bases.
Overall the salesman was extremely nice and we didn’t feel rushed, but there were several instances where we felt there were details missing from information we were being given or worse, misinformation. Lastly we asked about sales and when they occur but of course the best sale they’ve seen “ends today” 2019-04-28. Sure. I hope I’m not disappointed when Memorial Day rolls around, nor when my mattress arrives... but this review has been solely based on our experience at...
Read moreWent in to the store and had a wonderful experience bought a new bed with new pillows, sheets, everything coming close to 8 grand! The delivery was set up for about a week an a half out. We were excited to try it out. As it got closer to the delivery date the text messages gave us a time frame and told us it would be smaller as it got closer. We'll that never happened. Here it is the day of delivery heard nothing from them and my husband has missed 4 hours of work to be here to wait. After almost 3 hours he finally called the store to see if there was any updates as to where our purchase was. We were then told it would be another 30-40 mins before they would get here. The delivery guys show up, looks at where it was going, walks outside, comes back in looks at the spot again, walks back out grabs his partner, comes back in and tells my husband we need to reschedule. They were here for literally 10 mins MAYBE! And my husband asks why and they said cuz this frame needs to be taken apart. My husband said ok I can do that while you get the bed out of the truck and they said unfortunately no you're going to have to reschedule. He said look yall never called us, I've missed 4 hours of work, you're here with my stuff this takes me 5 mins to take apart I want my stuff. They then told him that he was talking to them a certain type of way and they needed to go call their manager outside. My husband said ok ill start taking the frame apart. They walked out and got in the truck and took off WITH OUR STUFF! Called the store and was told unfortunately there's nothing they can do since it's a 3rd party delivery service that basically we have to wait until they reschedule us. Read moreIf I could give zero stars I would. We own a Sleep Number mattress and purchase all bedding accessories there as well. When it came time to get a new frame & headboard, we knew we wanted to buy from the Sleep Number furniture line. We had always had a great experience, so we didn't think this time would be any different.
Nine weeks ago, we ordered our new bed. When it arrived three weeks ago, it was damaged and had missing parts. Things happen, so we reordered. But we still had missing parts upon the second delivery. This whole time we were told the bed would come with slats to accommodate the base with no legs. We were told to call customer service (can't do anything in store) to ask for this to be added and see if they would cover the $200 cost. That's not asking alot when you ordered a $3k bed. We were just called back today and told no that we could not be compensated for the additional parts. We asked for any discount at all since we have had so many issues. We were met with a lengthy hold and when the representative returned, we were told that the bed "may" come with these parts afterall.
Needless to say, customer service is not helpful at all, they do not value your business and they don't even know their own products. So after waiting 9 weeks, we canceled our order entirely.
