On April 3rd I came into the store wanting to purchase a wedding set for my wife and I. We've been married 17 years and I and this was the first set we've orchard since our original we got married with. I've been searching for just the right one for some time. I came into the store with $5,000 cash in my pocket because I did not want to use credit and make payments. I spent some time with an employee ( found out later it was a manager) who at first seemed helpful but quickly turned snooty remarking on price as soon as I asked if a ring I was looking at was lab created stones or natural. When I asked to see a ring with natural stones only she again started making remarks about price. 4 separate times I had to remind her I did not want a ring with lab created stones. For my ring I explained that I currently explained I have a titanium band as I have been a truck driver for the lady 15 years and I didn't want to damage a nice one but that I was no longer driving due to medical reasons. She then suggested I get a rubber ring and or go to a local store to find Jewelery that was more in line with MY BUDGET. So I went across town and bought my wife a car instead. Then 2 weeks late I did exactly what she suggested. I went to Michael's Jewelery there in town on Broadway where my wife and I found a beautiful ring from the Vera Wang collection that my wife fell in love with. It's not only beautiful but fits her hand, her style and it's just her all around and the price was prefect. The store was inviting, the owners are amazing and run the store and can even make any piece of Jewelery you can think up. They can repair any Jewelery you have as well and they will treat you with respect unlike the way I was treated here at Kay's where apparently if you don't look like you come from money, you're pre-judged and treated as if you don't belong in their store. My son went into the store in Muskogee, OK to purchase jewelry for an anniversary gift. He has recently relocated to Muskogee from Tahlequah. He had no set budget or any idea as to what he was looking for. He needed help from someone whom has experience in the jewelry store. The employee simply pointed to the gems and the diamonds and went about her day. She did not offer help, guidance, etc. She was very unfriendly and unprofessional. The store had one couple in it-whom were being helped already. There were 2 other employees available. He ended up purchasing the first thing he saw. He went out to his vehicle and thought about the experience and how he was treated. He decided to return the item. It was then he learned that she added on the lifetime warranty plan without telling him there was a fee for it. Sadly she spoke to him/gave him more attention returning the item then she did selling the item. He will not be back to this store or the chain-nor his family members. He quickly went to a local jeweler-located in Tahlequah. Although it took more time and gas-he was treated with respect and was happy with his purchase.
