Abc Liquors — Local services in Nags Head

Have been going to ABC each time I have vacationed in OBX for many years. Always had a great experience. Prices are incredible. Today, I walked in while a man was giving the cashier a hard time because the person he walked in with that was browsing the aisles did not have ID so the cashier legally could not sell him the liquor. The man walked out and then came back in to argue again and the cashier kept her composure and explained why she could not sell while the man began to yell. The other cashier prompted the man to leave by saying "have a nice day, sir". The man then yelled "f you" and stormed out. I don't know their names but the female cashier was an African American woman and the other was a white male with brown hair. Even after going through all that, the female cashier greeted me with absolute kindness and even cracked some jokes. I and the person I was with were more than happy to show...

I came here with a group of friends (all ages 24–26) and had a really negative experience. We were ID’d at the door, which is fine, but then again when leaving after purchasing our items. They made us all wait until everyone had finished checking out before we could leave, which felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. Skinny tall male working cashier at 10AM on 9/14 is extremely rude. Poor customer service skills whereas the lady working night before was personable. Maybe he should take some lessons on how to be kind. Asked if a drink was popular and answer was I don’t drink that - what I was asking was if it was popular amongst customers, not was his preference was.
