T.J. Maxx — Local services in Nags Head

I live here and have always shopped tj maxx for my kids clothes and random house hold things. Well today (yes I know I’m way ahead) I decided I was going to get my honey some nice cologne for my honey for Valentine’s Day. Well the nice stuff was locked up so I pushed the button and waited. A lady came over and I said I wasn’t sure what I wanted just yet. She stood there with her arms crossed like I was bothering her. Then I said “I don’t know what he will like can I smell a few of them please” she said “ no you can’t” I thought she was joking and as she just stared at me I said “oh you’re serious” she said “ yea I’m serious most people know what they want” it made me laugh. Because wow. I work guest services at a retail business and would never!!! So basically since I’m not a regular buyer of those products I was not welcome to browse and decide what I wanted. Honestly comical. So anywho. Terrible customer service and just flat out rude to be honest! So instead of spending $80-$100 I spent $9.99 on some polo cologne and can’t wait to tell my honey the story behind it. Phew. Hope her day...

I am writing from my husband page. It happened today Saturday july 28 at 18.45 i was shopping in tjmaxx . Having so much fun till i got to dressing rooms. The lady was rude from the second i got there . " too many cloth to try on". Now to understand i am 5. 2 " tall with backpack( paid $39.99 for that bag in tjmax 2 weeks ago)europian looking . Now Lady told me that i need to leave my backpack next to her and can not take it with me . While a customer before me went with the bag inside.Da! Lady told me its a policy of the store.Of course, I rufuse to do it . Im shopping in tjmax for 10 years noone ever told me that before. The employees beed ALWAYS RUDE ( im not exadgerating) but noone ever told me that one. After a lot of blah blah she let me in and i wanted to try stuff on but the whole thing made me so dissapointed so i just left. Dear customer service, do something about it . Use to love this store until today... It was so messy and aisles were blocked by large storage bins so you couldn't even shop down a couple of aisles and all the aisles were in such disarray you couldn't even find anything if you wanted too.The worst was the one lady working in the dressing rooms. I have never met such an unfriendly and down right rude person ever. I was shocked with how she treated the customers who were just wanting to try on some clothes. I have worked in retail for a very long time and i couldn't believe that her supervisors would let her treat customers this way. From the atmosphere to the rude workers me and my friend left the store and did not purchase anything that was in our carts. I have decided i'm better off going to the tj maxx in Elizabeth city.
