I "started a shipment" on the staples.com website as I have done before and entered the shipping and receiving info. When I went to the store and told the clerk I had started the shipment on the website and was there to complete it she told me they didn't do that there. As I tried to explain to her this was on the STAPLES WEBSITE and that I had done it before she repeatedly cut me off and told me "we don't do that here". After a couple of minutes of this I left. I returned after again going to the website and this time taking pictures of the web pages. Someone else was there in addition to the first clerk. She understood the process. However, there was no admission or apology - she just continued telling me what they didn't do - they don't accept QR codes from other places, etc. She began processing the info and gave me a price of $60 to send an envelope next day air via UPS. UPS website quoted $36 for the same shipment. At this point, between being treated horribly and the exorbitant markup for sending an envelope, I was disgusted and left. They never acknowledged the mistake, they made no apology, and they were condescending. They laughed audibly as I walked out. I l went to the packing and shipping store down the street. They quickly, courteously and painlessly took my info (and the 3 house keys I was shipping) and processed the...
Read moreLost 3 packages, all with tracking showing they were delivered to Staples where I have an iPostal mailbox, including one that was overnighted and its contents irreplaceable. 5 days later, not even a call or email to apologize or any update whatsoever on where my mail is. I'm moving to OBX Shipping Center where they have employees and it's not a black hole for mail and packages to disappear into.
Update a month later: iPostal told me the "Staples Corporate Team" was undergoing an investigation to locate my overnighted package which showed tracking directly to the store. No one has contacted me, not even an apology, and they won't even refund the cost of the iPostal mailbox. DO NOT TRUST either of these companies. I don't understand why they are even legally allowed to handle mail. My next steps are the BBB and the Postmaster General.
Update 3 months later: No response to multiple requests for an update on my lost overnighted package. Their response to this review was just for show. There was never an investigation. The US Post Office tracking showed it was delivered to Staples so I can't even file an insurance claim. Neither iPostal nor Staples has ever apologized or attempted to find my package. They will not compensate me for what they lost, or even refund my mailbox...
Read moreWas by far one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. I had to go in to buy some office supplies for our company. Immediately upon entering the store, there were a couple of girls with staples shirts on hanging around the counter talking, and when I asked one of them where to find what I needed she told me the aisle number and went back to her conversation. When I found what I was looking for they only had a couple on the shelf, so I went back up to the front to ask if they had any more in the back and instead of her taking the time to assist me she sent me back down the aisle to await someone else she said she would call to assist me. After waiting ten minutes or more and watching her do nothing except stand around talking, I went back up to the front and asked if someone was going to be coming to help me, and she said in an exasperated tone that she would call them again and went on about her conversation yet again. There were at least 6 workers milling around the store during this time I was shopping and not one greeted me or offered to assist me. I generally order our company's products online, and now will continue to do...
