When an earthquake hits napa, after we realize we are still alive, our first though is "I hope Shackford's is ok."

This store is a beloved local treasure. Mr. Shackford is kind and helpful and knows ever so much about all things kitchen related. You can get all sorts of things here from pots and pans to small appliances to cookie cutters to cookbooks* to crazy kitchen gadgets. And they have the most delightfully quirky collection of salt and pepper shakers here.

This is a store of superior quality. They have a wonderful selection of kitchen items, cake making and decorating stuff, cookie cutters, replacement lids for jars; I can wander around this store for a long time! The staff is very friendly and helpful. And if they don't have what you're looking for, the chances are that they can get it for you or they know where to send you.
