Respectfully, please be cautious when trusting Long’s as, a simple ring repair took months altering its yellow gold state to white gold.
I was referred to Longs for a sentimental ring repair. Since, Justin passed shortly after proposing, I never got to know where my ring is from. It is a unique yellow gold ring with fragile baguette diamonds. Pictures included.
Nonetheless, since my father has been a long-term frequent customer at Longs and valued highly their service and repair, I trusted Long’s with Justin’s ring.
I went in 2 April 2024 and was promised to have an estimate and the ring returned for 16 April 2024. I was never phoned nor received an estimate and update for my ring update until I patiently inquired 72 hours before my promised ring delivery.
On 13 April 2024. I was informed that there was potential further damage to my ring’s diamonds and through conversion was explicitly clarified that their repair would not compromise my ring’s integrity, structure or design.
On 16 April 2024, I was updated that the diamonds did not need replacing and their shank repair would not compromise the rings integrity nor diamonds.
Therefore, I consented to the repair. With this sentimental importance, I repeatedly clarifying its integrity and use of materials. I was guaranteed the shank repair could proceed with the rings integrity.
I was, in fact, informed that they would be able to repair my ring with its full integrity for Friday morning. At 13h on 19 April (3 days past the original promised date), I was told the ring passed quality check and I can pick it up.
I went to pick up my ring 13 April 2024 and the once shinning beautiful Yellow Gold ring, had been destroyed and altered to an entirely unrecognizable White Gold “silver looking” ring that entirely altered the entire rings integrity.
I was originally told “it is the lighting making the ring look silver”. Respectfully, it is perplexing how a high end luxury jewelry like Long’s, can attest that their Rhodium plating (done without consent) did not dramatically altered the rings colour. Yes lighting can affect colour however, multiple written, verbal, and visual cues were ignored on the work order.
I kindly requested to have them send it back to be fixed and turned yellow gold again. When I went to pick my ring, once again, up 24 April 2024, my Yellow gold ring was turned further turned a mix of white and yellow gold. This is frustrating, as I was never informed that my Yellow Gold ring would be turning White Gold in their repair process. If Rhodium was needed to strengthen and ensure the ring’s integrity, as the customer I have a right to be informed.
Long’s jeweller’s ignored the visual Yellow Gold ring, verbal clarification of the Yellow Gold ring and, written clarification of the Yellow Gold ring in their Work Order slip.
Therefore, it’s the lighting I was told yet again. Upon further “lighting” inspections, reference to photos, and my thinking cap on, I can fully confirm in various “lightings” my originally Yellow Gold ring had since been, without consent, plated with Rhodium and finished in White Gold.
This ultimately, changing the entire look, finish, and feel of the ring. My yellow gold ring tuned silver-esque. Yes, Longs refunded the 150$ repair and attempted to bring the Yellow Gold back via polish via several repairs. Nonetheless, the heartbreaking damage and dissemination of trustworthy service was already completed.
A complete lack of trust, value and service is what I experienced at Long’s. This is surprising for a brand like Longs which is known for offering “only the highest quality product and service at the best possible value.” I do not feel as if this holds true. Please clarify how a luxury and service- oriented jeweller like Long’s can mix up a simple repair for Yellow Gold ring to be turned White Gold multiple times.
I am grateful for the attempted repair however, do not appreciate lack of transparency quality, communication, and empathy for sentimental circumstances.

Read moreI am so unbelievably impressed with both the amazing customer service of Samantha, the salesperson I had the pleasure of working with, and the final result of my engagement ring!
Samantha worked one on one with me for months to customize my Fiancés engagement ring. I gave her my budget and she was able to show me a wide range of beautiful natural diamonds and after selecting the perfect one, Samantha worked with me to develop the setting. After months of back and forth correspondence Samantha was able to pinpoint my exact needs (and wants!).
From there Samantha made sure that the Jewlers produced exactly what I wanted, and Samantha corresponded with me every step of the way! Obviously my Fiancé said yes when I proposed and I’d like to think that I’m just an awesome guy, but deep down I know the presentation of such a beautiful piece of art created by Longs influenced her final decision.
I genuinely could not be more grateful for Samantha G. and her willingness to go above and beyond for me. I will be a customer for life because of her and I could not be more impressed with the quality and professionalism of the service she provided.
Shout out to the jewlers steady hand!
Can’t wait to build the wedding ring with Samantha, and anniversary ring, gifts, etc. like I said, Samantha’s hard work, dedication, trustworthiness, and professionalism made me a life long customer of Longs Jewlers in Nashua NH. I’ve never had such an amazing experience purchasing anything!! and I’m glad I went to the right place to make my dream come true. I hope Long’s knows that though they sell some beautiful stones and jewelry, their most valuable asset is a member of their sales team. Samantha G at the Nashua location is the best and I would highly recommend paying her a visit for all of your jewelry and custom jewelry needs.
Thank you so much!

Read moreWalked in last week with my uncle and girlfriend looking to get a Rolex as my first Rolex as my college graduation gift from my uncle. Instantly was greeted by a friendly face who pointed me in the direction of Brandy, a true professional on Rolex’s! Unfortunately the piece I wanted wasn’t in stock, but Brandy was just as disappointed as we were about it and ensured she’d do everything she could and gave us piece of mind we wouldn’t have to look any further, and gave us a Rolex catalog on our way out so we didn’t have to leave empty handed. Brandy is a friendly, polite, energetic and true professional. Walking into a fancy jewelry store for the first time can be some what intimidating as you don’t know what to expect, but Brandy made it a breeze and made us feel at home. She did inform us when we visited she would be moving to Long’s new boutique in Boston, and we called today and unfortunately she is gone from Nashua (Long’s Nashua ensured they would even try to look for it alongside Brandy)! She did warn us though, but did tell us also that she would continue to look for that watch (Datejust 41mm Fluted, Jubilee, Blue) even after she leaves and moves to the new Boston Boutique, and we have full confidence based on our experience with her within the coming days, weeks or months we will get a call!
Overall, very great experience at Long Jewelers and with Brandy who both have a great commitment to customer satisfaction and represent the Rolex brand extremely well, and I’d ever only look for this Rolex and future Rolex’s from Long’s and Brandy. I urge everyone to stop by this location or visit Brandy if your looking to get your first Rolex, they will walk you through everything and make you feel...
