I injured my right hip running in January 2024 and spent the past year diligently attending and completing the exercises prescribed by the PT that my health insurance covered. My hip issue wasn't resolving despite a lot of effort on my part. I went to see sports medicine doctors, get a MRI, get a consult with an orthopedic surgeon, and have an injection in my hip, none of which resolved the problem. I was really losing hope that I could have a normal hip again. On the recommendation from a friend who said I needed to see a PT who knew how to treat active people, I booked an evaluation with Pat, who did a very thorough exam, told me what he thought the issue was, and then tested it. My first week, he asked me to do 1 exercise that would target what he thought the issue was, and it worked! My symptoms were reduced 50% or more. I'm not a gym rat or an athlete, but I am a relatively active 30-something who loves yoga, hiking, backpacking, meditation, and swing dancing. All I want is a hip to get me out and keep doing these things that bring me joy, and I finally feel like I'm on the right track. I would highly recommend seeing Pat - knowledgeable, friendly, and trying to find solutions that work for you! This is not one-size-fits-all PT, and I mean that in the best...
Read moreI’m 61 years old, and after dealing with ongoing pain and stiffness that were affecting my golf game and daily life, I started seeing Pat for physical therapy. I can honestly say he’s been a game-changer for my health and recovery.
Pat took the time to really understand what was going on with my body and created a personalized plan that included needling, cupping, and a day-by-day workout routine designed to strengthen my lower back and improve flexibility. His approach wasn’t just about treating the pain—it was about rebuilding my body the right way.
With Pat’s help, I’ve not only regained my mobility but I’m back out on the golf course swinging better than I have in years. He also gave me great guidance on nutrition and how to support my recovery from the inside out.
I’m very thankful for Pat’s expertise, patience, and encouragement throughout the process. If you’re dealing with pain, injury, or just want to feel like yourself again, I highly recommend working with him. He truly got me back to good...
Read moreNeeded help getting back to playing Pickleball regularly. I had been in pain and not able to play for several months and decided I needed not only professional help, but someone who understood the game and how I wanted to move and also forward thinking with their approach to resolving the issue.
That's when I discovered Amanda Ayala at Onward Physical Therapy.
I had my free 15 mins consultation and I explained my issues and I wanted someone who understood the game of Pickleball.
Within 3 sessions I am now back playing Pickleball daily and staying pain free. With her help and guidance and recorded stretches and ways to help my calves I have no excuses to forget what I should do. She also introduced me to cupping and dry needles to help with the recovery. The best part is that although its an hour session once a week I can always message her with any questions or concerns and I know they will be answered...
